The Gambling Ladies theme was developed as a private label for my wife's beauty business Elaine's Salon. We decided to theme the salon around Elaine's unique gaming history. I asked J5 to develop her business logo and to create a secondary version of the logo changing the words from "Elaine's Salon" to "Gambling Ladies". I asked J5 to design a chipset using the secondary logo and the chips pictured here are the end result. We enlarged the chip art and have used it in the interior design of Elaine's Salon. In addition to having a badass chip set on the MD-50 my wife's beauty Salon is super cool. It's the only salon I know where the customer gets to roll the dice in front of an enlarged 1948 newspaper article titled "Gambling Ladies". If the customer hits a 6 dice straight they win $100 Elaine certificate. The article features a wonderful vintage photo of Elaine and details her life story.
