Authentic casino chip trays from the Edgewater Casino Vancouver. I have many for sale at $100 each USD + shipping. Brand new they usually retail for $325+. Dimensions: 29-3/4"x10-1/2"x3-1/4". The suggested cutout size is 26-3/4" x 9-3/4" and at least 1-3/4" depth clearance.

Most are in great condition, some have some flaking paint. Almost all are gold colored, I have 1 with a silver lid but the tray is gold. The lids hook into the tray however none of the locks are functional. The locking mechanism has been removed and I don't have the keys. I have replacements locks so it's an extra $10 if you want one replaced.

I think these originally came with 1 cam lock, but they installed a 2nd cam lock which required that they grind out some of 1 area to fit the 2nd lock. Not all locks are located in the same location. 1 lock is usually in the middle but the 2nd one varies.

At least 800. 12 row trays are meant to hold 720 chips.

Nice, so probably 60 per row with room for the requisite acrylic spacers?

EDIT: I guess that would be 900...maffs is hard.

Yeh, just looked up another site and it appears the 15 row trays hold 900, and the cheapest I've seen online for these is $325.

These are sloped on the inside? If so, do they sit level if not dropped in a recess?

Yes they are sloped on the inside. If the lock is face the dealer, then the the tray slopes away from you. I do believe they are level if not in a recess but I will double check tomorrow.

Looks like the same one here....
Any manufacturer marks on it?

Why the need for the second lock? Can the ends be pried up easily?
My guess is that they are keyed different for security reasons. No one person has both keys. Slot machine internals are the same way. Different locks to access different parts of the machine. (MPU/CPU, Software CF card, Bill collector, etc)

Since these are designed to sit in the playing surface, you might want to build a boxed base for them to fit into. That would make for a more finished looking package.

Ok, so each row can hold 68 chips. If you lay it on a flat surface, the chips would sit level but the top edge of the tray would be sloped.

More details photos of the trays:

Here's a shot of an oversized PCA button between two rows. The button doesn't actually touch the other two rows of chips, though the bottom doesn't touch the bottom of the barrel either. I believe the button is 48 or 49mm.

Also, can it hold 43/44 mm chips and still lock, if the adjacent rows are empty?

If yes to both, I'm in for 1. (y)

It will hold the larger chips, but no the lid won't close. There's lots of space at the back of the tray where it's sloped downwards, but at the front side where the locks are, there's not enough room under the lid for it to close I don't think. Unfortunately I don't have any 43/44mm chips to try it with but it looks like there's very little room between the top of the chips and the lid.

I think Tommy nailed it, all about security. The lid has nice wide handles that allow the whole tray to be picked up easily if the tray is locked. If it's not locked the lid would just come off and leave the tray behind. With the lid off, there is a lip around the whole tray which makes it easy to carry, but not easier than the wide handles on the lid.

From the pic above it looks very close for 43mm chips - I'm guessing they wouldn't make these for casinos without being able to fit 43mm? Could be wrong. I'll take one!

Dibs on #9 please if available. #3 second choice. :)

Sorry Ben, Joe did take #3. Do you have a 3rd choice?

And the oversized chips would fit closer to the back of the tray where there's more space between the chips and the lid, just not at the front.

43mm chips should fit.

The reason for two locks is that one is for supervisors to open and close a dead/live table and one is for security to close when gaming ends.

1 tray is around $35 USD. 2 trays is about $65 USD. These suckers are heavy!

My two arrived, and they're pretty nice.

A little longer than I calculated -- don't think they'll fit the Sarge cabinet, but that's OK..

Yes I have some smaller ones from poker tables but I'm not sure how many I want to sell. I'll keep you posted.
