Pair
Trying to make some labels that match my paris chips. Anybody know what fonts are used on the chips?
Post a pic?
The word Paris appears to be hand-drawn. You may need to scan it, and then clean it up in a vectorizing program or the like. Or take a pic, blow it up, and trace it.
The type on a curve around the inlay looks like it is two different weights of some not very distinguished serif font, with the denom the same face but even bolder.
It is not dissimilar to this free font, but this is only in the ballpark:

Thanks!! I should have just asked here first. That would have saved me a couple hoursThe typeface you're looking for is Weiss. Make sure to get the Bold Condensed font, it looks like a match.

I agree with @Taghkanic, the logo is likely hand drawn.
I got that but thanks anyway! How did you find the exact typeface? Would be nice to know how to do it for future projects. Also, if you need a traced vector of that logo, send me a PM
I edited my reply above when I found the logo in multiple formats online. Link is there if anyone else needs it.I got that but thanks anyway! How did you find the exact typeface? Would be nice to know how to do it for future projects.
If you look at the $2 chip, you'll notice the "W" in "TWO" is crossed, so that's a distinguishing feature of the font. I looked for several fonts with that kind of "W" and Garamond Amsterdam EF Roman (or Medium) is very close.
Edit: Here's a list of free fonts that are similar: https://www.whatfontis.com/NMY_Garamond-96-DT-Roman.similar?customtext=TWO DOLLARS

Yeah I saw that too..there is a Weiss extra bold condensed, could be that. Even on the image I posted above, the denom is thicker.I’m wondering if there has been some variation in the weights between different ages of Paris chips. (On the one I looked at for reference, the One Dollar type appeared much thicker than the Las Vegas, NV part.)
