Fold pre? Hero straddled. I'm shoving preflop.

Edit to add - as played, shove flop action.
Oh my bad, I didn't read closely enough lol. I shouldn't cook brisket and discuss poker at the same time.

Since you straddled 100% calling preflop, and now that I've read it properly I guess I would sadly agree with Craig you have to shove, given your stack size.

If your going to pay this pre, committing ~15% of your stack and then get this flop, just get it in and hope the UTG doesn't have an overpair. If you call pre and flop TPTK and suddenly have to contemplate folding, then you "done messed up A A Ron!"

You gloss over the "don't straddle and fold pre," but this is exactly why you don't straddle on a short stack and don't call pre against early position raises with hands that are easily dominated.

I always top up my stack but this was the last shot on a losing session. Was looking to gamble. Probably should just leave at that point or go play PLO.
