The real question is, pre or post USPC?
This makes no different. The worst warping Kems I ever owned with pre USPC...I think 2001 vintage. I had exactly one deck that didn't warp - a 2003 circa set of Arrows. I bought a single deck right after the USPC to see if they improved. That deck is slightly bowed but not warped so it is playable.
I just bought my first set up of Kems since 2006 this past summer. I saw a thread somewhere about putting a dealer button under the lid and on top of a cut card to keep the cards sandwiched. So far it seems to have worked.
If you don't want warped or even slightly bowed cards I would recommend staying away from acetate and stick with PVC like Prestige, Fornier, Da Vinci, Guild, etc. Those brands stay dead flat.
