Hi folks. I'm somewhat new here and already thinking of custom sets.

General Background: I don't play poker regularly, but I play quite a bit of board games, so I'm looking to make myself a set for that. Specifically, I want no currency sign and no casino name, and 43mm. I have some Claysmiths and The Bank chips from @Apache ( discussion , store ), which I love, and will probably get some more; but I'm still itching for something. So, between CPC and Ceramics, I keep on dreaming.

Theme: While thinking of colors and patterns I ended up thinking of flags, which led me to muck around with some colors, this is what I have so far. Note that many countries have the same colors on their flags, so it's easy to cover multiple with single chips. Also... apparently nobody has pink/purple in their flags.

Notes: I don't have denominations yet. Some colors are traditional. Don't have a label yet. Just used the basic chip designer and poker.is-great tools. I know ceramics could do more.

Anyway, feel free to comment; I'll probably continue mucking around until the next group buy or I get too itching and pull the trigger (on this style or something else).

Heya - I did a flags themed set for my first CPC cash set - details here:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/heritage-club-customs-cpc.23676/
Nice! I did a quick search and totally missed them.

How do you feel about them today? I noticed you did Ireland with a different base. Still happy about that choice? I was debating that for the grey CPC chip. I like how it looks but I'm a bit sad that it's not a base flag color. I'm also wondering if it would be ok to get a purple-ish base one. Need to cover all the denominations. I'm not even sure how many I want... though I'm pretty sure my minimum is 6, and my max is 12.

Main (for board games): 1, 5, 20, 100, 500, 2000
Poker-ish: 25, 50, 1000
Nice to have: 2, 10, NCV

Alternatively, I could just get a different set for other purposes. (or use the ones I already have).

The board games denominations also work for poker as well - no need for so many different denominations.

And CPC gray is a little like a blah concrete gray - not the most attractive base. Ended up using charcoal.

If you are thinking about going CPC, 100% get a set of color samples first.

I may end up getting them even if I don't go CPC... you never know when you may need them.

We love our Flags chips... but Paulson designed them, pretty cool Fanstay chips if you haven't seen them!

Not super fancy but serves our purpose well. We use them for an up to 8 player Turbo/warm up set. So many flag and colors out there to go with!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
