Wanted to post this to those who like round tables. I read a post recently about a 72” table. I totally wanted to do the same, but it was just way to large. I loved the size of a 60” but found it a bit to tight. The 66” was just right. Seats eight nicely and you could squeeze 10.

For reference I’m 6-5 and can just reach the center of the table comfortably.

Btw, the 660 chip carousel was built with the scrap from the table build.

Hopefully I can get a custom suede someday.

Round tables are nice but after they reach a width limit it's harder get chips from the center. Most standing up to retrieve them..

Any problem with big boys tipping it a bit when they get up?

Not familiar with diy chip carousels. Any pictures on that?

@Deuce9 I have a 54" round and it's at the limit for reaching the middle. At 60" you will have to stand up to scoop the pot, at 66" you will probably have stand up and ask for help

I have built two 66" tables for customers. They are great for nine player cash games. Not nearly as many mis-deals. I play regularly on one of them, however it is hard to reach to the middle. A little help from the other players pushing the chips to the winner goes a long way. When doing that it really isn't an issue.

I have always been a proponent of round tables for self-dealt games. Much easier.

It’s pretty stable. If I was to build that base design again, I’d flare the base about 6” wider.
