Hey!

This weekend I finally bought my first real chipset off another user here on the site. I am so excited to get away from those dice hips that me and my friend have used for months.

ACFs from WW as his first set  :ROFLMAO:

Congrats on the Aria CM chips! They're a lot of fun! Thoughts on them? What you expected?

Hey now wishful thinking sometimes works! Never judge someone walking in the door!

Nothing wrong with Cards Molds, I think at this point many of us have them! Definitely better than dice chips @Bros just got mine a week ago! Haven't played them yet but

Looking forward to it!

Congratulations on your first real set! Looking forward to seeing if that feeds your thirst or not. For many of us it is just a gateway drug to more chips! Lol

This. Be careful, @Bros ... the slope is slippery.

Ooooh, those Taj's are nice! I actually think that the cards mold chips really shine with those shaped inlays.

Does the set come with more quarters than shown? Strange breakdown, tons of $25s and no $100s, looks like it was built for a pretty big game.

There’s
200 - .25
200 - 1
100 - 5

We start with a barrel of .25 and 1s and then a few 5s droning on how much you buy in for. Blinds .25/.50. All chips are doubled real money value. So buy in for $20 get 40 in chips.

Why not do a 0.25/0.25 game with a $25 max buyin? Or if your guys don't wanna buy higher than $20 you can do a single blind 0.25 game.

Also did the set not come with more nickels since there was a barrel of them in your photo?

Nickels we’re just a color reference for me to see what everything would look like. Well generally we all like playing with most chips on the table and like being deeper stacked. So our structure works well for what we like and our play styles.

Congrats on your first set

The bank are really shallow at $750 thou, that is only 15 buyin of 100 bb or less than 19 buyin of $40

It will be advisable to get some barrel of $20 as well for this set or the set is really more suitable for a 25c/25c game

I do plan on getting some 20s but a bankroll of $750 is more than we will EVER need for a group of Highschoolers

Very nice Taj chips, where did you get them or how did you make them? They look damn close to the real things except for the mold of course, great job! Used to love playing at the Taj in AC, fond memories!:)

The artwork belongs to the amazing @Eloe2000 and I'm am pretty sure he would let you use it for a charitable donation. There is another Cards Molds group buy that just started so you could definitely get In on it if you would like. I wouldn't mind a small expansion myself.

And on the Taj, how about the real thing?

All 4 Trump AC casinos mixed set, over two years in the making chip by chip, still a long ways to go!

Those $5s look like those baseball hall of famer chips from a NJ casino - is that one of the casinos in your set? I’ve always loved those chips.

No I think that was Ballys I own a couple of the Babe Ruth Chips. To top rack are all Taj $5s but they are oversized inlays, I like the original $5 but most are pretty worn out. I love the idea of different designs on the chips in play changing hands. Haven't played them yet, still need to mill and label the Blues and not enough $25s... but that rack above is made up of this

Nothing like a $1,300 plus rack of $5s. SMH I have problems

I’m nearing completion on a rack of fives that have cost me almost as much. Five dollar chips are expensive singles.

Especially AC chips as they are not allowed to be resold. They are all harvested and I have no problem paying $10 - $15 for near mint chips harvested 20 plus years ago. I am thankful they were saved and in no rush to finish the set. Definitely in for the long haul now.

Beautiful set! Let us know how they hold up in your games. Once I can start inviting people over (post-pandemic, possibly), I'll be looking to invest in a nice set, myself, so I've been keeping my eyes open in the meantime for good sets at an affordable price.

Anytime you want to drive up to Finksburg, and check out some chips just let us know. Much better than spending tons of money on buying samples.

Hoping one of these years to get snowed in with nothing to do so we can take all the furniture out of a room, take a family photo and actually show what 60,000 poker chips looks like all in one place! Lol

Here in the Boston area, we’re supposed to get somewhere between 3 and 30 inches, saturday. That’s literally the last headline I saw, last night. 3 to 30 - tough to be wrong with that prediction.

Congrats on your first set!

I actually just nabbed my first set earlier this afternoon. It’s an odd story, I actually found this in the wild on a Facebook group and the seller happed to live about 10 minutes away from me.. had almost 1000 chips.

Still need to figure out what I’m going to do for $1’s because BJ CIC $1’s seem impossible to find, but I’m stoked to at least have a cool BJ CIC set to play cash games with!

Also I haven’t decided if I want to keep both sets of $25’s.
