So I just put together my first limit set after reading ideas from @BGinGA and talking with @dmoney.

900 HSI 1as New
80 Fantasy FRD President 100s (as 20x chip)
20 Fantasy Lincoln President 2.50s (as 100x chip)

Planning to relabel non-denominational.

Before I ended up going with my custom ceramic limit set I put a lot of thought into buying a bunch of the same $1 chips for a relabel set. It is hard to beat the price!

So bad that I have a non-denomination limit set and yet I contemplate picking up the 1a’s as a limit set.

I usually have 6 players so 9 racks of base chips is a nice 1.5 racks per player and with the rack of value chips, it makes a nice 1,000 chips for good storage options to satisfy my ocd. That’s all.

As @SJFCPK18 mentioned we are are building limit sets at the same time and have helped each other quite a bit figuring things out and bouncing ideas back and forth. Great set!

From what Ive read 900/80/20 is a great get-the-job-done breakdown that’s also exactly 1,000 chips. Others with more (I think I saw 1600/300/100) or less (800/100) can work depending on how the game plays and whether the game is a 1/2, 2/4, 3/6, or 4/8 structure.

That sounds a little too tight and not much wiggle room for a crazier than normal night or growth over time. I’d suggest at least getting 1-2 barrels of $20’s/$25’s to give you a little padding/bank...

I think that depends on your game/stakes.

I’m going non-denom 2-chip/4-chip with @SJFCPK18 and settled on 960/50/10 breakdown. I wanted 120 chips for 8 players, and have enough value chips to cover almost 4 full buy-ins per player. If I need more chips the stakes aren’t high enough for the bets to mean anything!

So...progression isn't great...but I love the colors...

Which is more important...sport progression or colors?

They’re value chips and won’t hit the board. I suspect folks will only have a few at most in front of them. Not sure spots matters here...

@dmoney a bit of a dirty stack can happen with the (1x) and (20x) but I like them.

I don’t have a ton of limit experience, but dirty stacks should be much less of an issue than NL/PL because (1) bets are capped (2) the game is slower. Those are my assumptions, could be wrong.
