I held a small home game to open up my newly finished basement and new table. 6 person $20 tournament. It was a blast.
Ended up winning it, with some river luck at one point.
The hand: 20k chip starting stack. I was the deep stack the entire tournament after a couple big hand wins. About half way through the game, I had Q5 off suite with a flop of QQ4. 2 handed. I check, other player bets 2k, I go all in (she’s down to about 7k in chips) and she calls and flips over KQ. Ouch.
Turn is a 7, and the river - 5, giving me the full house for the win.
Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
