Finally Launched a PLO VLOG (1 Viewer)

I found PokerPoise and just noticed Boski uses it to showcase hand histories from live events

Will be a bit more work to manually input all the action, but will certainly be much better for the viewer

I'm a bit out of the loop these days as far as tools go, but what about Poker Tracker Omaha? Don't they still have a good hand history replayer that you can use?

Most poker vlogger do get more success if they film live poker action as more viewer prefer that to watching it on apps

I do notice you mention at the start that Local casino don’t allow filming, I always wonder why the casino discourage that as it free advertising for their casino

Also, keep up the good work

Because the Tampa Hard Rock already rakes in a BILLION in PROFIT on a yearly basis. They don't care about the poker room

But it has 46 tables and gets massive amounts of traffic anyway, they don't need the extra exposure

Although their guitar shaped property 3-4 hours away does permit filming, maybe one day Tampa will change their stance

I know that's probably the real reason, but did they give you a response when you asked why you couldn't?

I didn't speak with upper management about it, and the dealers and floor supervisors aren't the ones putting those policies in place.

Nearly all casinos have had a no filming policy in place for decades. It's a security policy. They don't want someone casing out the joint.

My 2nd episode had some tweaks to improve it, but the new replayer was too small on mobile devices.

I've been doing some testing and would love feedback on how this looks for everyone (mobile preferred but desktop feedback is helpful too)

This looks good on my desktop and mobile device, although the only thing I don't like is it's not easy to read stack sizes, but not sure how much more I can blow up the image, but I can try more if folks don't think this will be good?

This video is on my personal account rather than the VLOG one so I can do testing

Can you control the playback speed?

I'm confused about why you're having a difficult time finding a good hand history replayer. It's been several years since I used to make poker coaching videos, but there were multiple good replayer options even back then to choose from (I made videos for Stoxpoker, Card Runners, and PokerStrategy.com back in the day). I haven't researched what options are available on the market today, but I have a hard time believing that we've gone backwards since then.

If it's merely a matter of not wanting to pay for such a tool, or having to manually create hand history files, I would encourage you to make the necessary investments to be able to create a more ideal product for your audience if you're looking to grow your brand. However, if it's just for fun, then a "meh, good enough" product will do.

All the HH replayers I have found seem to be designed for copy-pasting of hand histories from various online sites, but that isn't an option with this app on my phone.

The replayer I did find has this weird quirk where if I play it step-by-step rather than all the way through, the page shifts/jumps and throws the whole layout out of whack, which makes for an editing nightmare.

But when you play it straight through when the turn card hits, for instance, the first player to act immediately shows their action rather than having a pause where you can just see the turn card before anyone acts.

I'll continue looking into what other options there are out there, I do want to improve the videos, still ironing out those rough edges.

The video above is just to see how it looks on mobile, if it can be viewed comfortably

As far as the playback speed on that clip, when I edit for my videos I do freeze frame at points to stop the action and discuss concepts and such, otherwise it would play too fast for me to talk about the hand

So what you see above isn't representative about how fast it will play the hand in my final product

Anyone have feedback on if this is visible enough for mobile or if I need to go bigger?

CONGRATS! Much easier to follow along on mobile. Loved the cut to Chapelle! LOL. Also the intros are great.. Episode 3 "Revenge of the Nit"!!!

Looks like the majority of poker vloggers I watch release their videos on Mondays around 1pm EST

So I will be adjusting my release schedule to Mondays, hopefully increasing engagement and reach :)
