Local casino is having a $330 in February and our home game is wanting to have a tournament series where the grand prize is a $330 seat.

So I'll run this idea past yas. Please let me know what you think.

- One single table tourney every weekend for four weeks
- Fifth weekend is a freeroll based on points from the previous four weeks
- $30 buy-in ($20 for that tourneys prize pool / $10 is put towards the $330 freeroll prize.)
- T20,000
- One $10 half stack rebuy available within the first three levels and one $5 half stack add on after level three
- Money from rebuys and add-ons is split 50/50 between that evenings prize and the $330 freeroll prize

Point system for freeroll (expecting between 5-9 players each evening)
- If you played once you're in the freeroll and get T10,000
- T500 bonus for every point earned
- First out gets one point, 2nd out gets two points, 3rd out gets three points etc

I originally proposed that your only freeroll chips come from points, (T1000 per point) but host mentioned that it might deter players from playing that knew they had to miss a weekend or two.

What'chas think?

For starters, I'd make every event in your qualifiers the exact same stack/structure as the $330 casino event. Practice makes perfect. For that reason, I would not use a staggered stack 'final' for this particular series. If the casino event doesn't have re-buys, I wouldn't use them, either.

Just run five total events, and count the best three scores for everybody to determine the representative. Save all the other fancy stuff for another time.

That's a great point. I'll run that by the committee. Thanks.
