I’m thinking of putting together a small Cali cash set from some chips I’ve been intentionally collecting and one or two I stumbled on. It would be a full inlay replacement, likely a Palms casino theme, as that’s also the name of our neighborhood (Palms DB is on the way). Unleaded is a requirement (which is pretty limiting) — as they’ll be used for family games and the kids like to play with chips.

In order: gray 25¢, blue $1, brown $5, purple $25, black $100

TIA, and take it easy on me this is my first attempt

As far as traditional colors, only the blue $1 and purple $25 fit the "Cali" bill. However there's a lot of wiggle room in Cali lineups, however a white hundred is almost a must-have for a lineup to be considered Cali in my mind. That said, the colors work together, if a bit on the darker/more subdued end of the spectrum.

Awesome thank you all for the feedback, I realize I’m playing a little fast and loose with the “Cali“ designation. Here are all my other excuses:   (see next post)

The blue $1 will make a great one dollar chip for a cali lineup. The hard part, as always, is finding nice THC yellow chips.

Agreed, not many unleaded leaded white chips to choose from but I’ll try the ES $1
This set needs yellow
Also agreed, if anyone has a BTP or SB $5 rack I’ll take it ;). Though I have seen a brown $5 if I’m not mistaken. The original idea was use the AS $2 as a 20 but I love purple chips so I repurposed it because I have a rack.
Why are you worried about lead content? Nobody is going to crush them into powder and ingest them, are they?
Apparently you have not met my children ;)

What do you think he does with all of the milling scraps?

Drill presses leave relatively little scrap. The stupid router method I use makes toxic lead dust that gets EVERYWHERE. It's not enough that I have to wear medical masks at work, now I also have to wear a freaking respirator for my hobby. I live in the asshole of PCF.

It leaves enough scraps for me to eat...
