I made one for Sci-Fi, why not comedy?

Clue is 100% my number one. The rest are in no particular order and can fluctuate. So many great movies to choose from. But this list I feel has the 12 that I basically I will always watch if it's on or someone wants to watch it.

1. Clue
2. Galaxy Quest
3. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
4. Groundhog Day
5. Spaceballs
6. Back to the Future
7. Office Space
8. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
9. Big
10-11. Both new Jumanji movies
12. Game Night

Cool thing I noticed is that while I like R rated comedies, there aren't many I would include on this list. I don't find most of them that rewatchable. I think the best comedies are ones that don't have to rely on R rated humor to be funny.

I'm not a big movie-goer, but these come to mind:

1. Monty Python's Holy Grail
2. Grosse Point Blank
3. Being John Malkovich
4. Anything involving Peter Sellers or Steve Martin
5. Bueller
6. Scrooged
7. Groundhog Day

Never even heard of Office Space...
{edit} Neither has my wife, and she's a big movie watcher... Guess we're just too old.

I got nothing against older comedies, they just aren't my favorites. Part of that for sure will always be age related though.

Holy Grail....it will always be the pinultimate for me....

It was my dad's favorite movie...that and Blazing Saddles. I had seen it 100 times easy. He died a few years ago from complications from lung cancer. He was in the hospital, my 2 brothers and I were all able to make it home to say our goodbyes. Afterwards, I got home from seeing dad and we all smoked a bowl and watched Holy Grail together.....laughed our heads off. He died that night.

Holy Grail.....yeah, that's the one.

Also, Caddyshack is funny.

Great list, pretty close to mine but I’d need a sprinkle of Chris Farley added to it.

One of my favorite scenes in any comedy:

1) Your Hiness Ft. Danny McBride
2) Step Brothers
3) That's My Boy Ft. Adam Sandler
4) Vacation (the new Lampoons)
5) We are the Millers
6) old School
7) Tropic Thunder
8) Old Yeller (just seeing if anyone actually reads this list... yes I cry like a bitch in this flick)
9) Why Him
10) Forgetting Sarah Marshal

I am slipping! How could I forget tropic thunder! Awesome movie.

And if wolf of wall street is considered a comedy, that should definitely be on the list. Awesome movie as well.

My list is pretty long, so I will echo some here and just put some random favorites that might not have been mentioned.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - As a kid, one day home sick from school, I literally watched Holy Grail three times in a row... probably wore that VCR tape out (tell me you're not a millenial without telling me you're not a millenial ;))

Being There (Sellers was a pretty singular talent) - I've seen it many times, but distinctly remember watching this one time with my Dad (who passed a couple of years ago) and how much he laughed at it.

Some Coen Bros greats:
Raising Arizona
Big Lebowski
Fargo
O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Blazing Saddles
Princess Bride
Airplane
Caddyshack
The Jerk
Young Frankenstein
The Blues Brothers
Trading Places
The Odd Couple
Dumb and Dumber
Animal House
Spinal Tap
Office Space
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World - (fun watching this with my parents back in the day - seen a few times since)
Bringing Up Baby
The Cannonball Run
Super Troopers
Galaxy Quest
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
Napoleon Dynamite
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
Team America: World Police
Borat
Austin Powers
Coming to America
Waiting for Guffman

Deadpool
Deadpool 2

The Ferrell Section:
Anchorman
Step Brothers
Talladega Nights
Elf
Old School
Land of the Lost
Blades of Glory
Semi-Pro
The Campaign
Holmes & Watson (I know it was panned by many, but I like it)
Wedding Crashers (not the star, but a fantastic movie and his scenes are great)

Nacho Libre - many aren't fans of Jack Black, but this was the perfect role for him imho - so many great lines.. love the quirkiness plus the Beck soundtrack.
Safe Men - A bit under the radar, but one of my favorites.. amazing cast (before they were big stars).. Paul Giamatti, Sam Rockwell, Steve Zahn, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Lerner, Peter Dinklage, Harvey Fierstein... check it out if you haven't

to be continued... ;)
