Hi all.

I have about 700 faux clay from 2005. White, Red, Green, Black and Purple.

I was hoping to put some denominations on them based on their casino- values (ie $1 for White, $5 for Red, etc..)

I did some digging and some folks did some awesome hot stamps - but it’s from 7-8 years ago.
I don’t see much on labels. Is labels do-able or will that make the chips slick?

Is there a simpler option to get some denomination on it? Some kind of ink stamp or is hot stamping the only way to go?

IIRC they can’t be hot stamped?

Back in the CT days people inked stamped them with Staz-On
Besides that you can lazer them or mile so that labeling is possible. They dont have any recess so labeling will make them slick.

All in all a lot of work. I think the best you can do with Faux Clays is to build a non denom 2 chip Limit Set.

Sucks!

I just love these chips. Pulled them out after years and they literally destroy any plastic chip I have. You can stack 100 easy and move it around.

I really wish someone had bought the die for this mold and continued making chips. Every chip I have is perfect which is saying a lot for a mass produced chip.

These "were" on my opinion the best plastic chips out there.

I labeled my Faux Clays way back in 2006. IMHO, it did not make them slick.

So I've milled Fake clay before for inlays and it's worked, and I do Hot stamping and got a laser cutter for laser etching of chips (we are a few months away from it being setup and active tho).

If you wanna try and see if any of the methods work, happy to assist.
