Q: I'd like to get some Horseshoe labels, in either the Cleveland or Cincinnati style. Can I put "Cleveland•OH" or "Cincinnati•OH" like the original casino chip inlays?

Unfortunately, no.

When I started making labels for the Horseshoe chips, for better or for worse I chose not to use any form of Cleveland or Cincinnati on the labels, for several reasons. One is to help distinguish them from "the real thing" in order to stay on the right side of the line between replica and counterfeit. Another reason is to avoid contributing to any kind of shenanigans involving single-chip collectors being duped.

In any case, whether or not that was the right choice, or if it even makes sense, I have told enough people "no" over the years that it wouldn't be fair to start doing it now.

Using text such as CARD ROOM, or CASINO, or POKER ROOM, or possibly the name of another city, are all OK.
