Falling for Hotstamp (1 Viewer)

I hear ya. I didn't have a thing for HS either when I started, but it really grew on me. I've had a few sets, but they've all since gone. I guess that mean's I'm currently in the market for one. hehehe :sneaky:

I'm a big fan of @meatboy's Hungry Frog set.

@jbutler's Clermont Lounge is another stamp I dig.

When I started looking for chips a few years ago hotstamp sets didn't interest me. Hehe, now they are all I look at. I can't figure out why they are so interesting to me. This happen to anyone else? Maybe I'm backward and people start with hotstamping, no idea.

I'm with ya man

Hot stamps are awesome! I really dig the simplistic beauty of them. I think I prefer hot stamp solids overall. Examples such as the Atlantic Club, Grand Card Room, and all the multitude of colors of Starbursts floating around out there. :)

Onohone. Will post some pRon later. Even though I know my chips pale in numbers and diversity to other members here

I really have a liking for hot stamps with edge spots. :)

Extremely kind to see my chips listed alongside the Hungry Frog set which I have always loved. All credit to the fantastic @Johnny5 for that stamp design. Though biased, I adore it.

Another of favorite all time custom hotstamp designs - probably in my top 3 ever - was done by @machinelf for @ontheuptick (CT user). I'll let @ontheuptick explain the design, excerpted from his full pr0n post from CT here:

The picture is resembling someone looking through a peekhole trying to gain entrance into the elite poker room. Think Teddy KGB's place in rounders, with the sliding eyehole to see who's at your door. So, the stamp is someone peering through the secret hole trying to gain entrance into Bake's Underground poker club. Machinelf obviously with the great design - we worked together on the stamp idea - it was quite a while ago so I honestly don't remember, but I would bet money that he came up with most of the theme.

On top of the stellar stamp design, I love his non-traditional colors and choices in using color-matched foil and in the case of the white chip, holographic foil which looks amazing. A few shots here from his thread:

Hot stamps rock, I especially love the Hungry Frogs, Club Courage, Superhero Cardrooms and PCRs.

Wow! Those bakes underground are fantastic. That is the best designs and execution of a hotstamp that I have seen.
