So I am getting some labels printed and have been experimenting with some designs. I basically wanted to combine my 2 favourite chips of all time.

1) The rounders chips
2) Chips from my favourite ever poker club in London (sadly now closed):

Here is my favourite design I've mocked up (Chris from Gear will professionally do it)

I chose the polar bear instead as that is my nickname. This is the one I want but unsure how the bear will look on a label printed?

A couple of other options:

Opinions?

I like the middle one. The bottom one doesn't say "polar bear" to me quite as much, and the top one, while it would print OK, isn't as well-defined as the middle one.

I like the look of the full bear body the most.

You could go with a 2 sided chip. One side with just the polar bear in a cool dynamic pose.

The other side with the name and denomination and maybe just the paw print as a water mark type effect.

Something with the scroll, maybe, to bring the closed poker club into the design?

I would change the artsy design element to a snow flake and keep it transparent like In the bottom 2.

I think Kensco did a great job with his mockups. The one on the left looks like a great nod to the Western chip. But in keeping with the idea of combining the Western and Rounders chips, I like the middle one of yours the best due to the simplicity of the design. Having said that, I'll add my own 2¢. If you change the image on your design to a statant posed (basically a profile full body) polar bear instead of a guardant pose, there will be a greater similarity to both the Rounders and Western chip.

Kensco thank you, those do look great.

The problem is when in scale the designs down, the detail is just lost.

It's getting frustrating. To be honest I'd be happy with just a very simple font only design, with just "EDWARDS" and the denominations below in red.

Could someone try mocking something up for me? Simple and bold is what I'm after.

I'm resurrecting this project now I have been a little bit re-inspired.

I hit what I felt was the jackpot on these Bodog promo chips at £10 for 300 - they feel brilliant, like much higher end clay chips with sharp edges, I love the colours, and more importantly they have labels that come off. OK, so there is the Bodog house mold to contend with, but I don't care :D

I started looking at some classic chips from UK casinos for some label inspiration and fell in love with this:

From the Curzon Club. My red Bodog chip is even close to the colouring scheme!

So now I'm going to get myself a little logo made up with the initials CE, although I have found a couple online that I like already which should be easy for someone to re-create:

Did a bit of a mockup with a font I found and the top logo:

I think it looks really nice. Simple and clean.

What next step should I make to make the design more 'professional'?
