Current set is set up to spread .05/.10 and .10/.25 or .25/.25, single table 8-10 players.

I've recently been playing in a 1/1 game and I'd like to be able to spread that as well, either to bring my chips along for a guest appearance or to host a game with that crew.

Current set is:

5c x 100
25c x 200
$1 x 200
$5 x 75
$25 x 25

Looking for advice to spread up to 1/1 ($100 max buy-in), I was thinking of adding the following:

$5 x 125
$25 x 75

Or

$5 x 175
$25 x 25

I am trying to limit the addon to 200 chips at this time. The $5 tends to be the workhorse in the 1/1 game I play in, but I'm wondering if 200 1s is enough for .25/.25, .25/.50, and .50/$1.

On the flip side I wonder if 200 5s are enough to cover the 1/1 game.

To keep it to just 200 more chips for now, I'm leaning towards the first option and a total set of:

5c x 100
25c x 200
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$25 x 100

Total bank of $3775 which should be plenty to cover 10 players @ 3 buy-ins each at these games.

Maybe adding on 100 ea of 1s and 5s at a later time to round out the set to 1000 chips. Perhaps throwing in anothet rack of $25s to spread up to 2 tables (swap out the .05 for anything but the nickel dime game).

Thoughts?

How many rebuys do you normally have in a night? This should work. If you have an aggressive game you might need a few more chips. Add a barrel of 100's and you should be fine for a one table game.

Usually it's 9 max players (they like to be able to at least play double board Omaha), I think 3x rebuys would be the max I would need to plan for. Many don't even buy in at the maximum and often if they lose once or twice they'll evacuate.

I’d rather keep handing out stacks of $5’s, so I’d want at least 400 $5s for a 1/1 game. But if you’re determined to add only 200 chips go ahead and bring your set up to two racks of $5’s and a rack of $25. Then I’d consider 10-20 hundreds, just in case, and then I’d go back to adding $5’s.
200 ones should be plenty for any game. I play mostly .25/.50 and I like to have a 3rd rack of ones, but it’s an unnecessary luxury.

Thanks, good to know that two racks of 1s should do for the micro stakes games.

I agree with adding more 5s. Perhaps even more 5s and a barrel of 100s when I eventually bump the set up to 1000 chips.

.05 x 100
.25 x 200
1 x 200
5 x 400
25 x 180
100 x 20

Swap out the mixed rack of 25/100s for the rack of .05s for the higher stakes games.

Hmm. That’s maybe true, but now that you mention it, I have very little experience at stakes under .25/.50. So I’m not sure.

Well I figure for .05/.10 there is so little money in play that 200 1s should be more than enough.

For .25/.25 I don't mind having just a barrel of ones per player, that might be the only stake where an extra barrel would be nice to have.

Can you add on with 200 at CPC? Why did I think it was 300 min.

Dunno, these are Sunfly Hybrids from the recent OWPS group buy. I love them so much I need to have more!

Oh, my bad. I didn’t pick up they were ceramics. I’m terrible with breakdowns so I should just shut it!

Haha, no worries, I never mentioned what chips they were. :D
