Not Mine EPT Chips (1 Viewer)

These are definitely ceramic copies of the actual EPT chips, you can buy them (not cheaply enough) a few places online. Note they say European Poker Tournament instead of Tour.

Was just about to say the same thing. Milkfish Poker sell them on eBay (UK-wise anyway) and look just like these allegedly "genuine" versions. I've been toying with the idea of a set for a while.

Ah! So these are not the real EPT chips? If true, a very misleading listing.

Yup, these are definitely replicas, as Wils mentioned available from milkfish poker in the UK.

As Nex said, genuine ones have a white outer ring.

Misleading listing for sure, and the price is just nuts.

Yes Milkfish has them for (converted) $533.85 for 1000 chips!

I had a bit of fun with this :)

If the auction ends with no bids I was curious if you would be willing to come down at all on price? I would be interested in the lot for $1350. Thank you.
Instead of agreeing to a $600 markup he decided to shoot for more (and removed all mention of "genuine" and "authentic" and "actually used" from the auction).

$1500 with shipping included if you are in the US would be as best I can do
Greedy said:
This would be a non auction cost
He may have thought I was weary of the "non auction cost" as a little later he dropped the price of the auction to $1499.00... in reality I forgot all about messaging him so wasn't checking my messages :)

Updated cost - lmk if this works for you -
Unfortunately I wasn't about to budge on my max offer
Me said:
I appreciate it man but unfortunately $1350 is the best I can do. I understand if you can't drop it any further, the set is very nice.
Which caused him to have a change of heart at which point he dropped the listing price again... but for a $600 markup can't I even get free shipping???
Greedy said:
Ok - if $1350 is the best you can do I will accept the offer - i will modify the price now

So if anyone wants to pay slightly less than double the price you can get them from Milkfish you better jump on it now! ;)

I'll be sending him a link to this thread as my response to his last message :D

You may find he dropped all mention of "genuine" "authentic" etc etc because of a report filed to eBay against the listing...

Might be an idea not linking him to this thread, as elsewhere onsite we have a list of PCF user's eBay names. Wouldn't want people to start dicking around with member's auctions if they feel they've been "found out."

In the last picture of the add. You can see the foam cases that milkfish ships them in

Just a few comments on this topic.

I made an error in the listing which I take full responsibility for and will modify my listing for it as a result. I do find however DAVID O or anyone else for that matter if you wanted to send me a private message on here to address the concern don't you feel that might have been a tad more appropriate ?

You show the link to my other listing but I guess did not feel it was polite to shoot me a quick email but yet to take the time to send the link make a post and continue down this negative path.

Clearly from your thread post you knew this was me but instead chose to only go on an on about it -- I had to be told by another PCF'er this was going on as I had no idea this thread was even created. What was weird was that he emailed me , imagine that.

Secondly RONOH we can tell by your clear troll here this speaks highly about your character. It was not only in bad form but uncalled for and I cant believe you would post that for the site to see. It does not reflect bad on anyone but YOU and it's clear to me that you are not someone who I would ever deal with as you find humor in trying to humiliate someone for your personal satisfaction. Why ? Would you want someone to do that to you ? It's pointless and really rather immature.

I can price these however I chose. if you don't want to bid on them then don't. That's your choice. However, to resort to what RONOH did, Try showing a touch more class and simply reach out to me.

I actually reached out to Matt today to get the full run down on these. Again guys, I am SORRY that the ad was misleading and it will be corrected but this nonsense you all have done here has to stop. It's not healthy and not appreciated when I made an error in the listing, own up to it and have to deal with this thread for the entire site to see which helps no one.

If you have a problem deal with ME DIRECTLY moving forward.

I included my email to Matt @ Milkfish as well. Lesson Learned. I will remove the ad and will repost soon. For those that emailed me ( none of which are on this thread) thanks -

PS To the person who also sent me an email via eBay noting about these being repros (not sure if you are a PCFer on here or not but THANKS for letting me know . )

For what it's worth I was unaware the listing was made by anyone on the board until receiving a PM after my post. All I saw was someone listing something at 3x retail and advertising them rather strongly as something they weren't.

Of course anyone can list anything they like for whatever price they choose, it's not a big deal... the problem was in the advertising. Were you unaware they were replicas? If that's the case wouldn't "oops, my bad! :)" be a more appropriate response than "how dare you you piece of shit!"? :D

Pertaining to my character, well, everything is relative. I'm not sure the the line between humorous and offensive should be crossed based on whether or not an unknown party happens to be a member of the board :D

True, but what you cannot do is try to pass them off as "genuine" EPT chips, which is what appeared to be the case. I think that's what's generated the greatest interest in this thread.

FTR, I'm the one who reported this listing as selling potentially counterfeit goods, after which the listing was changed to remove the offending claims (so if that's not just coincidence, I'm guessing eBay were of the same opinion and asked you to change it).

That said, if people here knew that the seller was an active PCF member, it might have been better to handle it with a bit more "tact." But... just as "you can price these however you want" people who see your listing and think "WTF" can react accordingly.

Hope this is a lesson learned for all.

ETA: Also if you're a PCF member, surely you know full well that inflated listings (either exaggerated price-wise or truth-wise) are going to be seen and commented on fairly robustly?

Well first of all I had no concern and I did not go on and on about it. So in that statement you are incorrect I did not call you out by name which I could have easily done but I did not. My first post was to answer the member about if we should expect a flood of the EPT chips on the market. When I answered this I was not aware that they were replicas since I do not follow anything to do with ceramics. The was also the post that I linked the other listing(STILL NOT AWARE THAT THEY WERE REPLICAS). I then stated it was from someone here and maybe they could answer. It was not until later that the chips were called out as not being authentic so that's on you or whomever started talking about that. My only other post was to say that yes I saw them at milkfish for a certain amount so for you to imply this was all about me doing you wrong, well your wrong.

@TheDeezer I do not know you personally and I was not calling you out. If I made a mistake I have no problem accepting responsibility. I do not feel I did anything wrong to you but if that is the way you feel well sorry! So for you to specifically call me out is not cool. If you had a problem with me then maybe a pm or an email. Maybe a tad bit more appropriate?
