I am going to be placing an add-on order of Emerald Bay chips fairly soon.

I contacted my rep, and any add-on would require 500 chip minimum for any chip ordered. I think that probably means that $20s, $25s, and $100s are likely out. So sets are probably out too, unless we did a full on second group buy, and a bunch of sets were ordered. I still don't think we'd meet the minimums on some of chips.

Chips that I know will be remade, because I'll meet the minimums myself if necessary ( :D )
Blue $1
Orange $5
Purple $25

Anything else would depend on interest.

I entertained the idea of offering a secondary yellow $20, green $25, and white $100 -- getting rid of that moon-mold. But I'm not sure there would be enough interest to meet the minimum.

Anyway, this is not an order thread. This is just to let you know that I'm placing an order, and you should express interest here if you want some chips in the re-order. If nobody, then I'll just add on to my set :)

I'll update this post with some photos later. Just wanted to get this up, because once I decide to move forward, it could happen quickly :)

What are we looking at cost wise per chip?

I expect the cost will be the same as the initial group buy: $1.36 for the fracs, $1s, and $5s (2-color chips), and $1.42 for the upper denoms (3-color chips).

To be fair to the participants in the first group buy (who had to cover artwork fees), the price will NOT be lower than the first group buy. The actual price could be a tiny bit higher, depending on shipping cost, but my guess is that the price will be lower. In this case, the cost of the chips will be the same as GB #1, and any difference between this price and what is paid to Matsui...will be donated to the Seattle Humane Society. This is far easier than trying to figure out how to compensate the Group Buy #1 participants for the artwork fees.

I'd probably buy a few racks of white 1s. Maybe a rack of red 5s. And 3 barrels of green quarters.

Orange 25c x 120
Blue $1 x 320
Yellow $5 x 320
Black $20 x 100
White $100 x 40

If these come in stacks of 25's like the china clay chips, I would round these up accordingly.

100 * green .25
100 * white $1
300 * orange $5
40 * purple $25
60 * black $100
20 * white $100

If this goes I will have 200 yellow $5s for sale at cost. I realize that not all the colors above will meet the minimum.

Dammit dammit dammit I already bought a full set, now I'm gonna have to convince myself to build an alternate set.

I got out my "alternate" and extra racks yesterday to sell them (blue fracs, yellow $1s, white $1s, and a couple extra racks of red $5s) -- I couldn't do it. I just love the mix-and-match capability of the lower denoms of these chips!

@liftapint would worth to edit the OP to keep a trace of the goal and the interest expressed per chip ?

Good idea. I'll do this tonight. I imagine we'll meet the requirement on green fracs, and white $1s as well.

Without @liftapint chips, the rough estimation on chips is

Orange 25¢ : 120 / 500
Green 25¢ : 390 / 500
White $1 : 300 / 500
Blue $1 : 555 / 500
Red $5 : 100 /500
Yellow $5 : 320 /500
Orange $5 : 1020 / 500
Back $20 : 100 / 500
Purple $25 : 60 / 500
White $100 : 60 / 500
Back $100 : 60 / 500

I'd be in for:

60 Green .25
200 Blue 1s
300 Orange 5s
Flexible on the 20/25 to make this work, but put me down for 40 x the yellow $20 for now

I'm in for:

300 x blue $1
700 x orange $5
200 x purple $25 (more if necessary to get these made)

If we don't reach minimums on some chips (for example, white $1, red $5s) -- I can potentially help on some chips, just taking chips from my first order (I haven't put any of them in play yet).

@MrCatPants I don't know how I miss it....
