Just FYI, since the last update a few days ago, images that were added to a post using the IMG bb code tag are showing up as broken images after some time. It has to do with the re-fetching of the images when requested (ex: someone reads the post) after the cache expires.
It's always good to upload and attach the images directly to your posts when possible. Images that are not uploaded and attached to your post are proxied through the PCF server and served using SSL in case the image is coming from a non-SSL site.
The embedded images that are currently broken are not lost if the URL is still valid. They should come back once a patch is applied. I'm working on getting this resolved.
