Might be able to pick up a reasonable quantity but in case they are bid up am wondering what a reasonable max offer would be. If the breakdown is playable (not sure about that yet) I'd probably keep them.

Bump . . . what do people think of these? I think they look kinda neat. Got the breakdown:

200 x 1
200 x 5
48 x 25
50 x 100

My offer of $100 was not enough.

The El Tropical was a real venue in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Opened 1992, Closed 1999. Keep in mind that San Juan casinos are typically barely bigger than a postage stamp. I do not expect to see these chips in large lots, they didn't need that many chips to operate.

I'd say the set is playable with a $7,400 bank for a $1/$1 game and many $1/$2 games.

These are chipco, so nothing as valuable as Paulson etc. Even so, I think $0.50/chip seems reasonable - or $250 for the set.

I'd pay $250 if someone offered them up to me -=- DrStrange

Thanks for the info! Will update if I get 'em.

These chips were either designed by a famous artist, or a 4th grade class.
But they're cheerful - I like them. I think I'd need to get them for under 50 cents apiece to feel like a got a decent deal. Casino used chipcos are cool, but they don't seem to be selling for a lot these days.

I think $0.50/chip seems reasonable - or $224 for the 448-chip set (since the dark blue $100's are useless with a blue $5 chips)

Fixed it.

But candidly, this set does not excite me at 50c per chip. I'd offer $200 and sleep fine if the offer was rejected. I'm not a big fan of ceramics, even Chipcos.
