Hi all!

I want to make a series about education around chipping. (Such as: why do we have $2, $3 and $2.50 chips? Why do people love Paulsons so much? Ethics around taking tournament chips.)

I need input and people to help with this project- I have a degree in film from Emerson. But I do not have a degree in poker chips!

I do not see this making any money- it is all about education.

If any fundraising was done it would strictly be done for production costs.

I feel like video is such a powerful tool for education- especially when you are talking about something visual like chips!

Please message me if you are interested in working on this little project :)

I don't have any chip knowledge to share as I'm new, but I can say is definitely be interested in watching these videos to learn! I hope to see them some day.

This is an awesome idea, as a newbie joining there’s so much to be learnt! And our dear Jon hobby YouTube channel is great but only scratches the surface. Perhaps we can start by crowd sourcing a thread of topics on the forum; then figure out what content goes into video format.

Looking forward for the episode that explains NAGB!

As fishsaybloop says, maybe start collecting topics, themes and ideas to cover. Also keep in mind that the Asian, EU or US vision of a subject may be slightly different, I. E. While Burt, TR King and Paulson chips may be the reference of the 50s to 80s in USA, EU casinos uses plaques and jetons

Just get it right. I’ve seen chip videos on YouTube where they get their facts wrong, and it infuriates me. Sorry to sound like an old man yelling at the clouds, but I think we might have a generational problem where young people are happy to make videos and get clicks with little to no regard for facts or accuracy.

Earlier generations wrote magazine articles, newspaper columns, and books with no regard for facts or accuracy.

Are you kidding? Of course you can find examples of anything. But magazines, newspapers and books all come with publishers, editors, fact checkers - you know, things that contribute legitimacy?

Today, anybody can click submit on YouTube or TikTok or whatever.
