Edgewater Casino in Downtown Vancouver shut down not so long ago and now they are auctioning off their inventory. I'll be watching the stuff go tomorrow so if anyone wants something, let me know and I can pick it up for you.

Note: No chips. I checked and no chips or cards are being auctioned. In fact my big reason for checking up on the auction was to try to snag a roulette table and wheel. There is a roulette table (double sided) on the block but without the wheel.

Lots of tables though, blackjack, baccarat, pai gow, poker but all of them are having the felts removed before the auction. I think it's a BC Lottory Corp thing that they don't want them out in the public. I think that's also why no chips or roulette wheel.

If some of the stuff goes for cheap I'll likely pick up some of the tables but they would have to be very cheap since they are bulky and I don't really have the space to store it all.

The poker tables are decent, except that they all have the hole in the middle where the shufflers were removed.

I want the drink cart lot ( Lot 696 ) (I'd do $200)
I want 10 dealer chairs ( Lot 352-361 ) (I'd do $25 each)
I want a patio heater with cocktail tray ( Lot 792-795 ) (I'd say $150?)

Do I need to be bidding or would you do it while you're there? I can send $$$ in advance if you want, and I'll drive down and pick them up pretty quick....

I can't believe they're auctioning the stools individually, I would be doing in at least packs of 4 or something...

You want the whole lot of drink carts? All 30 of them? FYI they're really short, under knee height, very strange design to me.

I went to the preview today to scope out all of the stuff, nothing really appealed to me, so I won't be going to the auction personally but will be bidding online. I'm going to keep an eye out on the tables and see how much they go for. I might not be able to resist bidding on a few if they go for really cheap and find somewhere to store them.

Keep in mind that on top of the bidding amounts, they charge a 17% premium which is their fee, plus 12% taxes so it's another 30% on top of your bid. All items have to be removed by Thursday if any items are won.

I could use a half dozen drink carts and I figured I could probably sell some on here, we could go in on them together if you're interested... my issue is picking them up right away too as my family lives in Maple Ridge - almost Mission and he *hates* going to Vancouver, lol

My issue is space, I wouldn't have anywhere to put 30 drink carts. They don't really stack well since they're on casters.

It's too bad they're selling the whole lot as 1 set. I'd bid if it was split up. Funny since I wish it was the reverse for the chairs.

I always think those large baccarat tables (shaped like a BJ table) would make really cool poker tables refelted (only if you had a dedicated dealer for your game).

They do make great poker tables, lots of space for all the players. But yeah it works better with a dedicated dealer. I recently converted 2 baccarat tables into poker tables which were 5'x9'. Huge but nobody complains about being cramped.

Just saw 6 of the oval baccarat tables go for $50 each, sold as a lot.

Got your dealer chairs, $20 each for the 10.

Sorry I just missed the patio heaters. The rolling carts went for dirt cheap, $25 for the whole lot.

I picked up 4 poker tables as well.

Oh, is there 8 or 10 dealer chairs? I'll paypal you $$$ if you want, or bring cash :)

10 dealer chairs, they sold as a lot of 10. Cash when you pickup is fine. I'll be paying them in cash to get the lower service fee.

I'm curious too, the one photo I saw was pretty bad, if you happen to be able to snap a pic or two when you see them next... ;) :)

I'm picking up everything tomorrow 1pm. I'll be sure to post some pics of the goodies.

Saweeeet. YOU DA MAN! (I hope general condition is better than the one pic they have, I just now noticed the rip half the way up the backrest ;) )

(I'll have to recover the back with some SSC ;) )

Yikes, I hope so too. I only skimmed the chairs section as I wasn't planning to get any of them. I've got my fingers crossed for the 33 chairs I picked up as well. At least those dealer chairs look easy to reupholster.
