You will receive 1 of each denom, for a total of 10 chips.

I have (1) sets for sale currently, and will update this number as sets sell.

Price for 1 sample set is $10 which includes shipping (lower 48 only) in a padded envelope and tracking service. Payment method is Paypal.

I do not believe I can offer international sales at this time unless you are using a freight-forwarder in the US who handles shipping it overseas.

Send PM if interested. Thank you.

Sorry for that second pic. Just realized that was a 43mm rack with a flat bottom, which is why the chips don't line up nicely...

The chips in this sale are NexGen type chips. They are plastic chips without metal insert and a sticker / label.

Before my time, but from what I’ve read, nexgens were pretty well loved as a low cost option, back in the day. As far as plastics go, maybe they’re one of the good ones?

I had a set of these back in the day. I bought it at Spinettis while in Vegas in 2014.

I liked these. I also had their CC (V2) equivalent. These were more durable than the CC which had a better feeling.

However, QC of these NexGen Dunes was higher than their knock-off version (Joker Casino) especially with label centering, ...

+1 to this. I'd a set of NexGen Pro chips - these were the set that kinda "mirror" the Paulson Top Hat in design but made for masses (rather than pro poker players). As my main usage for these chips are in board games (not poker), they fit my use case perfectly - affordable (back then was less than 30 sen each I think) and handles well (at that price level) compared to others in that price range.

That was before the China Clay era.

The original Nexgen chips (four mold/spot/color styles -- Las Vegas, River Poker Tour, and Lucky Bees with standard and oversized labels) were 12g injection-molded plastics with metal slugs, and the material had sort of a hockey puck feel.
Decent budget chips compared to the hard and slick slugged 11.5g ABS chips available at the time, and well before China clays or the large array of NexgenPro-style 9g unslugged plastic clones were introduced later.

China clays were next, first made by Eastony Industries on the spirit mold, and also imported and sold by DaVinci Imports (Casino Da Vinci and Pyramids Casino labeled chip lines). PGI also jumped into the non-ceramic chip market shortly afterwards with their Private Cardroom labeled greek key "L" mold using non-recycled materials, and the inferior ProGen80 "J" mold greek key clones soon followed.

TheChipRoom then introduced the China clay versions of Pharaoh's Club, Desert Palms, and Dunes Commemoratives (all with unique and themed mold designs).

TCR followed those with 9g injection-molded unslugged plastic versions of the Desert Palms and Dunes designs (pictured above in this thread), which had faux-shaped-inlay labels, bright colors, a matching mold design with identical spot pattern across all chips, a somewhat slick feel, and a 25c price tag.

Those were the first to use the 9g unslugged plastic technology with label themes matching the mold, but not the last. There have been dozens since, including the NexgenPro chips with the P mold labeled and blanks), Pioneer Club, US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, etc. -- all using the same colors and spot pattern.
