There is a $1K non-Baccarat. It is fairly uncommon, but it will pop up on eBay from time to time. It can go for anywhere between $35-$55. Here is a link to the Dunes page in the ChipGuide for your reference.

My 1k Baccarat is a place holder till I can find a 39mm version. It seems that $1 is less scarce than the 1k 39 but most of the $1 chips I do see seem to be pretty worn.

Because the vault was blown up along with the casino. Steve Wynn figured everything would be destroyed by the explosion so he did not bother to have the chips destroyed, as required by the gaming commission. Construction workers clearing the debris started finding chips in the wreckage and called Mike Spinetti who collected as many as he could find. The vault protected the high value chips and the $1s were presumably not in there.

Bergs (now banned) had an entire rack. Don't know who he sold them too but the sale ad is on here somewhere.
