Contact Josh at Apache. He just needs motivation to make them!

If you hear back from him, please post progress. I didn't hear back last time I contacted him about it. He has the artwork though!

I didn't know Apache made dealer buttons ?

I am talking out of my rear here, because I don't really know what I'm talking about.
But my understanding is that Josh at Apache now "owns" the artwork (is that right?), and could *have* the buttons made -- he doesn't actually *make* them.

I sent Josh an email about starting a new production on the button, and this was his response:

I didnt know i owned the art. I will get in an order with the factory. Should have
them in one month.

Thanks,
Josh

I bought several lines of chips from the Chiproom. The Dunes was one of them. I did not know about the Dealer Button art. I will get an order in next week.

Are they going to be 50mm ceramics?

LOL! People finding racks in the back of the closet is one thing, but finding out you own the dunes art is crazy.

Indeed, first time that an artwork is so easy to claim.
I've been looking for a NPS dealer button for years and it's easier to find Dunes $1's :)

Maybe now that they are defunct, I could have one made up ?

I don't know about the sunfly, but it's 50 mm. It's on the Apache website:

For comparison:

Added: The Dunes is linen and the Pharaoh's is glossy finish.

Correct, the older one is glossy with printed edge, Apache's is linen finish with plain edge.

I think you are looking at $8-10/chip for casino used...if you could find them. Mint? Dunno, but more!

Edit: somebody please correct me by PM if they can be had for less. :)

I was able to find 7 singles in December for up to 20 bucks each (shipped). No way they cost less than 12 if you can find them. I think I found one that is i great shape but most are used. My solution was to buy a set of mint chips from @Spinettis Gaming and a used set. Collecting the Dunes 1s will take time money and luck but I have sentimental reasons to want these as my folks used to go there back in the day. I'll buy anything I see that is not damaged and about 18 or less.

I was able to get three mint, three vgc, and two used. The average price is around $16.50 shipped.

unfortunately there is more interest in Dunes dollars these days. My average cost was under 11 for used
