Hey all,
I’ve had mock-ups completed for custom labels and most* of the chips picked out (* because I may swap some depending on the feedback on my questions).

I have a large set of chips I want for the set, but some are fully murdered, and others I either can’t murder or can’t bring myself to murder.

Has anyone put together a custom label set with different label types? Ie, full inlay smooth laminated replace for some, over label non laminated for others? Any feedback/ thoughts?

I’m at the point where I’m thinking I should either just pay to mill the ones I can’t murder or swap out some chips so all of the inlays match.

Any help very appreciated! I could post photos of the chips if that would be helpful, just let me know.

Cheers

Your questions, much like a lot of poker related questions can most accurately be answered many different ways including "it depends on"... etc.

I do think it would help to post pics, but in absence of pics I'll go out on a limb and make a few comments.

The following are general guidelines:
Only mill if the chips are hot stamp stamps otherwise remove inlay by cut and rip it out. Slice and dice method gives a better result, but takes more time.

Both methods yield better results most of the time than over-label because with over-label a) sometimes you will see the inlay under there and b) most of the time you can't use a label with a laminate without causing spinners. Many times you can just do a vinyl label, but the look of that isn't the best and it will not wear very well.

Lots of answere are going to depend on how picky you are and how willing you are to either spend time or money.

Much appreciated. Here’s photos (putting so can get more feedback too) which is where I’m running into some issues (ie different size initial inlays on the 1s, tough labels on 5s and not even sure if can remove the UBs).
Happy to discuss further in PM as well.

Ok, so what are you planning on using for what denominations?

If it were me I would sell the HSI $1's and use the already murdered JACK Cinci $2's as $1's

All the HSI $1's have a non standard (very strange to me at least) inlay size. Lots of people don't mind, but they just look strange and at the very least they don't match other RHC chips in size.

If you get labels from Gear you can also buy the mur… err label removal service too. Such awesome chips, I think you totally should buy same material inlays for all! (so no over labels if there are some murdered chips)

thanks I’ve been chatting with Gear and sorted. Going with inlay replacements for all
