Does everyone else, except those in California, automatically think of these colors/denominations? (1 Viewer)

I read that casinos in California have a way different scheme. For every one else, do you automatically assume these values?
white, $1
red, $5
blue, $10 (this one is the most versatile color. You'll see it at $1 or even at $50 some times)

green, $25
black, $100
purple, $500

yellow, $1000
pink, $5000

Which one do you believe is next? Orange or brown?
I would say orange just to not confuse black with brown.

There are popular Nevada colour progressions and popular California progressions. Some have the odd substitution in an otherwise recognized progression. Some state gaming regulations dictate which colours must be used for certain cash denoms. There are many casinos past and present that have said "to hell with it" and used their own random colours. Custom sets follow or don't follow tradition as is the wont of their creators/designers.

Lots of blue $1s, haven't seen many blue $10s, and can't think of any $50 chips off the top of my head...

I can tell you Graton Casino confuses me with their yellow $1 and white $1000.

Ok ignore what I said. It’s Cache Creek that has the yellow $1 but can’t find any pics for 1k chips at either Cache Creek or Graton.

Their $1 is white, $1k is peach (possibly apricot or sunrise)

In my local casino they use yellow T25, green T100, red T500, blue T1000 and grey T5000. How about that for confusing? :) Also egde spots are similar to all chips and its white small stripes so from distance i cannot count other players stacks. Not to mention my own dirty stack problems :)

North East was often Orange 1k and Grey 5k. Foxwoods still uses those colors to my knowledge.

Well when I tip for drinks it’s usually with white $1s... so it was almost an overly generous tip.

1) F*** a $10 chip, hate em, unless they are outrageously gorgeous for the sake of being a chip, not in a game.
2) F*** Nevada standard colors in the @$$
3) I hate strongly dislike the color 'red' and most greens are so humho
4) California colors are just soo bliss!

But yes assumption of colors based on Nevada scheme up to 500, anything past that is typically going to have more variance with the least amount typically around yellow and orange for 1k / 5k.

I assume. According to what I personally have usually seen in casinos, that $5s are usually red, $25s are green, $100s are black and $500s are brownish yellow.

Blue and red granite color are normally high denomination plaques

Colors given to cash denomination chips, I think usually depend from casino to casino. Usually in terms of security, that chips from one casino can be differentiated from another casino's chips
