My understanding is that it cannot be done. From what I have been told, the "missing" spots will still be put in as white and will be noticeable even though they are the same color as the base chip.

Would be neat to see though.

Anyway, is it just me, or does it look to have some sort of a "spinning" effect on the chip? In terms of looks of course.

So these two crackers might be a problem also then I guess...?

Yes please do that!
Any clues when they will arrive?

That two-fitty chip got the same 4TA181418 design?

No idea when they will arrive. I think there are a few other orders on the B-mold in, so hopefully it happens soon.

Yes, same spot pattern.

I spoke with David and he said you would see the cutout replaced with the same color. I like a chip design that uses the 4DS18 but skips every other verses the 418 and its a level 3 verses level 6 and makes a nice few hundred $$’s difference in end price if your buying 400+ of that denomination... although in beaver’s photos, you cant see it. That pink is unweighted correct? I wonder if it it is more obvious in weighed verses unweighted clay?

Yea they are seamless in person as well. They are DG pink, which is unweighted, so I guess it would be possible that weighted colors would show a seam. I think they will most likely come out just fine though.

Emlemleml I completely agreed, I don’t see a seam as well, which increases spot flexibility... :)

I didn't understand what you meant , can you mock it up please ? ☺

The spread is not as big as I remembered, two levels is $0.50 per chip, so its only $200 across the 400 chips I planned in this denomination.

Here is the breakdown
4DS18 = L4
4D18 = L7
418 = L6

In the grand scheme if your looking at 1/8 spots, and a full set, $200 is a drop in the bucket, which makes me lean towards 418 which is common at casino for the $1 chip.

David at CPC is probably being (rightfully) cautious by telling people you may see a seam ...
It may perhaps have more to do with sometimes or occasionally having a different / older mix batch of clay stock being used for the insert colors vs the clay used for the chip blanks, , if they happen to use the same exact "batch" for both the base & inserts, there may not be a noticeable seam, as in the above chips ....
