I feel like I read the story here a long time ago, but I can’t find it. Or maybe it was on Chip Talk?
And maybe there wasn’t a story, just a lot of speculation?
There’s no entry for it in Chipguide, which seems odd for an inlaid Paulson. Unless it’s a fantasy chip.
So strange that it’s a $10. Even stranger that it seems to be an orphan.
I just love it’s vintage looking inlay and the older Mass. abbreviation (instead of MA,) which makes me guess it’s from the eighties or earlier.
All real information and/or wild speculation is appreciated.
Anyway, I just got a rack which I may keep forever, if for no other reason than to save them from the murderers.

Were you searching for Poker Knights or Happy Knights?

So Chipguide does have an entry, but only shows a $1.00 hot stamp. Says Wakefield, MA. Type - UFC - I wonder what that means.

I don't know, but that inlay is better than the Wynn charity or Lakewhores.

In this thread, @NayNay says they came from an event company, and there were fracs, $1s, and $5s which were apparently sold off in NH on Craigslist a while back.
Too bad the NH guys have all gone away - I’ve got questions.

Someone chime in if I'm wrong, because my memory is probably not as it once was. I seem to recall a discussion about this chips, maybe two years ago or so, that said that these Happy Knights chips were made for charity fundraising use by a fire department.

Well, the charity fundraising makes sense with that event company information.
Fire department is an interesting twist.

I do remember some auctions, I think it might have been on eBay, through Craigslist also makes sense if they were trying to move a large number. I also remember thinking "surely, that's too much to pay for these chips." Oh, how woefully naïve I was - didn't know what I didn't know.

I heard that they were for a secret Templars poker game that was held in a Catholic church basement during ......wait for it ....... Mass.

UFC reference on chipguide is probably just a fat-finger (or senile) typo of THC. Or maybe the password to get into the game.

I had 2 racks of mint yellow 50c chips years ago. I think they were the first mint THC chips I owned. I think I bought them on eBay and sold them here or possibly even the on the blue wall.

so apparently I sold them on eBay, these were mine, that is my old custom felt.

God that inlay is a 1/5.

I don't think too many people would be in a rush to murder these anyway. They don't fit well as a $25 and it's kinda bland looking
Did I shit on some you your chips recently?
I’m sure the inlay isn’t for everybody and I would give it a 5, but it’s a perfect 3.5-4 for me. It’s got character.

That smiley face makes it look like an ecstasy tab.

Edit: that's what @BonScot and I would call what you guys refer to as molly.

Sick chipes though.

No I just got caught up in all the fun of the inlay rating.

That smiley face kills me

I had a rack of $10s long ago, but could never find chips (100-5000 denoms) that matched up well enough to relabel them. Not a fan of denoms covering primary background artwork, so would rate it a 1 or 2 at best.

Most of the Happy Knights chips were bought from NH Craigslist and then sold through CT. I acquired a number of the solids from the original source, and I think Legend grabbed a bunch of the $10 chips.

I believe they were used on a short lived casino cruise company which operated off the North Shore.
