Does anybody know the story behind the $10 Happy Knights chips? (2 Viewers)

Happy Knights Casino Rentals apparently still exists (http://happyknights.com/), not sure if it's the same place, but I think there used to be a casino cruise of the same name that ran out of Massachusetts? I don't know anything about these chips, but I would be pretty surprised if this was a coincidence.

It doesn’t look like they bought a new set of Paulsons

Bump for this. Ironically I think I have 20-25 of these. I’ll dig them out, get them posted for sale. Mine are so fresh, almost a chalky feel to them.

@upNdown I also have a rack free of the murderers, that was also the agreement when a fellow MA resident sold them to me @ReallyGoodUsername

Definitely a unique piece of history, to many here personal desire is more important than preserving something unique to the hobby: not necessary with this set but for low stakes night you can get more greens in play than with $25s.

No idea on their history... but I live them too!!

Ben,
Thanks for the cool post. I knew I’d get the most knowledgeable reply here. Google search was pretty empty. I’ll take pictures when I get them out .

Baarbarabooey will be very upset to learn that a fire department in Wakefield, Massachusetts managed to get Paulsons. He is gathering evidence now. I hope the Wakefield FD has good legal representation.

They are not insanely high value chips... I think I paid $300 a rack for mine, I just hope it doesn't end up with more awesome Happk Knights on the chopping block!

I am curious if anyone has ever sold them as singles? The only time I have ever seen these chips move over the years is by the rack.

I bet there are quite a few that would love one as a capper... single shipping is a pain in the butt and expensive, but just a thought... they are very odd and unique chips!

Good luck with the sale Mike!

I would LOVE to get a couple of these as cappers. Especially since my wife plays poker and her last name is Knight. I would even buy more up to 5 of them as she had family members that also play. They would make great card capper gifts in my household!

Calfdemon,
As soon as I pull them out, I’ll PM you & we will get some off to you.
Mike
