I've noticed that there are a ton of used casino cards available for purchase in numerous places, but they are always cheap paper cards. I have never noticed casino used cards that were plastic (other than the Copag WSOP cards). Why is that? Are all of those cards for sale cards that were used for blackjack? I don't play in casinos, so I don't know what cards are used for poker. And do most casinos still use standard index for poker?

All the pit games (blackjack, three card poker, other poker variants, baccarat, etc.) are played with paper cards.

It varies from place to place as to whether they use standard or jumbo index for poker.

Fun fact, casinos often buy paper cards for blackjack that are pre shuffled.
As far as I know paper cards are used for blackjack in casinos that do not use shuffling machines.
Never seen paper cards in casinos used for poker.

Usually, paper cards get used for a few hours on the floor before they get sold to the public at the gift shop or wherever as "authentic used casino cards." Plastic cards are more durable and are used until they break, so they're rarely sold to the public.

I have always used plastic Bridge size cards in the poker room at Casino's and I believe they are always standard index per my memory. This is the Rooms at Casino Rama, Casino Niagara and the limit room at the CNE in Ontario. I am not 100% sure but the cards in these rooms felt like Kem cards. Except the CNE they were some kind of cheaper Chinese Plastic.

If you want used poker cards search eBay for kem casino used. The casino used setups that generally come up from time to time come usually in brown or green plain boxes and are generally the Kem circleback pattern.

Agree, I bough some in bulk from people claiming to be casino employees..

I have been to career fairs and events sponsored by Mohegan Sun and/or Foxwoods. They would give it out of decks that have been punched and old dice with holes.
