Diverging Diamond Interchange (1 Viewer)

Have one about 5 miles from the house. While being strange at first, it really does move high volumes of traffic.

We have one here. I don't drive through it often but when I do I still find it odd. But I guess it works.

What happened to the cloverleaf? No left turns and no traffic lights. What am I missing? This seems a step backwards.

Cloverleafs don't let you feel British for 30 seconds, so there's that.

BTW, just spent 30 seconds trying to decide if it's cloverleaves or cloverleafs. I apologize to the spelling/grammars gods if I choose poorly.

A full cloverleaf takes up a lot more space, and I'd guess probably costs more.

Referring to it in the singular prevents those worries.

The state actually replaced our cloverleaf with this design. It works well, no complaints. Of course, the cloverleaf worked fine too, IMO.
