What is the hardest stain you have had to clean off a chip? How did it end up in that state? How did you clean it (if you managed to!)? Have you ever had to throw a chip away because it was in such a bad condition? My chips tend to just need a quick clean. They have never ended up with any major stains. The worst they have are greasy fingers handling them sometimes.

If anyone on this site bought the primaries from the President's Casino on the Admiral, they can tell you that those chips were DISGUSTING. They looked like they were sitting on the bottom of the Mississippi River for about a year before being sold.

It's why I will only purchase secondaries . . .

My goodness. That sounds really bad. I wonder what they had been doing with them before they sold them. How did you manage to clean them eventually? Were there any you just threw away?

I did not purchase any myself. Generally speaking for NON-HOTSTAMPS ONLY you can use TSP and warm water. I bought the wife a set of roulettes in order for her to have "her" set of chips. They had her initial on them, which was the selling point. she saw me cleaning mine, and decided to go one better, using a sewing pin to get into EVERY nook and cranny. Those chips looked great when she was done, but it took about 10 hours all in to do 600 chips. Secondaries only for me from here on out.

Well, that certainly sounds like a fun day! :p I cannot imagine spending ten hours in total on something like that. I would probably keep stopping and it would end up taking me a month to do! That said, my time management is fairly horrific.

Oh she did not do it all at once, but spread it out over a week. Those chips looked mint when she was done.

Ahh, I see. That makes a lot more sense. And they wonder why my time management is so bad...
