There are lots of things to consider when buying chips sir... for example... I just paid $4 each for these ugly
THC chips... is it a solid investment?? Who knows... I wouldn't sell them for less, they are rare.
So why would I pay that kind of money for chips I don't like!! Simple... these are my favorite fracs!
I'm OCD and would rather play with ugly matching chips then mix my set. This hobby is different to everyone. While some will say those are awful!! I wouldn't pay $1 each... someone like me looking for old school leaded
THC Hot stamp fracs is happy as hell to pay $4 a chip!!
Like everyone else says, Grab some samples. But find something that interests you... most of these chips feel about the same. Old school leaded omes are a couple grams heavier but not much difference.
If you want to impress your friends go for bright flashy chips!

RHC chips... my first Paulson Set. Absolutely love these chips!
Or maybe find something cool that you relate to... these are our favorite chips! Not bright and flashy but still amazing, unique and a crowd pleaser every time!
Also notice the higher denoms here are other shapes and plaques... something that makes your players think they are high roller in the casino.
There are tons of options out there and asking other people what their favorite are is not going to help you make the decision for you!! Based off the chips mentioned I'm guessing you have found Apachepokerchips.com and that is where you are looking? That is where I bought my first set. Josh Is a great vendor and contributor also to the community.
I will say you are making a smart move by skipping the lower end chips, which never hold their value and inevitably you will probably wind up wanting a nice paulson set anyways!
