I recently had a find that contained Playboy casino dice ….
Wow are these in very very poor condition. Kinda sad actually. Wondering if they have any value?
Or what someone might do with dice like these???
Was thinking maybe encapsulating in epoxy !
To keep them from further decay ?
Assuming this damage was from severe temperatures , were stored in a shed …
Any thoughts , comments . Are welcome

I remember reading somewhere that casino dice, especially old ones, were made of a materials that break down over time. I think this kind of thing happens regardless of temperature. Sort of like old film reels that fall apart.

Exactly like the old film, because it's the same material cellulose nitrate. Even under normal conditions it can just crumble and fall apart.
