How are the Desjgn cards to shuffle? My group does not like KEM's at all. They say they are too flimsy for their liking. They really like the ModiaNO's the best. I think it is just because they are used to them. I like how KEM's shuffle but they are pretty flimsy feeling. I guess I am looking for something around a ModiaNO that is easily attainable and not a fortune. Thanks for the help!

Modianos are pretty close to KEMs in terms of flexiness and finish. At least all the modianos I’ve handled. (I’ve read that the modiano platinums are a tad stiffer than the others, but I’ve never handled them.). KEMs are certainly a bit stiffer than Modianos, yes, but probably not significantly so, on the grand scale.
Anyway, the current stock desjgn uses feels about the same to me as Modianos in terms of stiffness (so yes, a bit stiffer than KEMS) but with a little less texture.

I think it depends on which Modiano card you have. I think the Texas Poker Modiano's are a lot like the KEM's. But, I have other Modiano's that are a tad stiffer. It is probably PVC vs acetate or linen if I had to guess. I will just have to buy some Desjgn's and see how they are. Thanks for the input!

Desjgn cards are great to shuffle.

Angel and Fournier are softer to me.

Faded Spade are a bit hard on the hands and stiff enough that they often flew everywhere when I would do my standard shuffle. Keep them for your automated shufflers.

Are the new Dal Negro Desjgn easy to shuffle? I have read they are almost as stiff as Faded Spade. At least that is what the chart says in Redneck Poker Card Database. I have read others say they are stiffer than the Modiano stock as well.

To me, they are easy to shuffle.

I never had any of the Modiano stock to compare.

KEMs are quite perfect, the drawl back is that they warp over time.

They are designed to be shuffled a particular way. If your group doesn't know how to properly shuffle, then I can understand it. The Index is one of the best, the feel of 2-4 cards is great. I'm not sure it gets much better for a dedicated dealer than Bridge Jumbo KEMs.

I would suggest Modiano. I'm guessing the shuffle other than overhand that is being made is with the thumbs at the top of the deck, and off of the table, perhaps a nice high bridge to bring the cards back in line. Desjgn are nice, slightly stiffer than KEMs but not likely not enough to turn whiskey drinkers to Gin drinkers.

This will get you started, personally this guy has too much downward force on the cards, but I think it's to drive home the example. The thumb and index finger should be doing all of the work and have more flow, he seems kinda ridged imo.

I received my Desjgn cards today...OMG I LOVE THEM!! A little stiffer than I am used to, but they really shuffle great. I think my group will like them a lot. I got out a deck of Copags last Sunday and we played one hand with them. They were way too slippery for everyone.

Back/Gold poker jumbo index greeted me in the mailbox today. Can't wait to get them onto the felt. Great feel and the look is fantastic. Also first time from the Poker Store and was pleased to receive 2 complimentary cut cards. Great stuff all around.

Designs are cool but are the most over rated in my experience. Faded spade are obviously my favorite. All my kems bow very slightly, but I still like them second best, copags stay the flattest but are boring. I prefer to play with cards the pros/casinos use tho. I think everyone should just Collect a deck of all the plastics.

I like Desjgn cards alot. They are easy to shuffle, and at our home games the person with the dealer button actually deals. But one night I shuffled all the hands all night and the stiff Desjgn cards wore out my hands. lol

I think if I were the one shuffling all night I would go with KEM's or maybe Modiano Platinum. Much easier on the hands LOL

Not sure if I got an concise idea of how the Design shuffle. I am looking to get the bridge Classic Diamond setup since it seems like the only bridge without the 4 color pips. I don't like stiff cards.

The Classic Diamond setup the current stock you referring to a few post up? @upNdown
Are the these somewhere between Copags and KEMs, when it comes to shuffling. Copags are slightly stiff to me and KEMs are perfect silky buttery smooth flexy riffling when shuffling.

I am looking for flexy bridge sized cards similar to KEM.
