Design Feedback - Colorado Club (2 Viewers)

Great Design! Only 2 suggestions I have
Light blue sky as is, mts purple, ground green like grass. Red looks strange to me. Make it look more scenic.

Second is maybe do a daytime scene on 1 side and night scene with stars on side b.

Just my 2 cents.

Ok... I finally had some time to pick this up again. Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions and opinions! I think I'm closing in on the final version: dropped the 'The' because it wasn't adding much, added a dark green outline to the mountain cause the white was competing with the denom, tweaked the text in the bottom half.

But still the biggest open question for me is the color of the outer ring:

Red Rim.png

Dark Red - still has a nice old-school vibe to me - feels like what a National Park chip might look like if they needed to open a casino to raise funds

Color Matched.png

Spot matched - of course mo color mo better. I think it makes the chips feel a little more modern and definitely adds some pizzaz.

No Rim.png

No rim - still trying to stay open-minded about this one. It's definitely the simplest of the options and maybe looks the most inlay-ish.

Feel free to keep posting your opinions! The design has definitely improved from my first post thanks to all your suggestions.

Can you do one with a black ring too? Currently like the last option.

That feels like someone put on too much eyeliner to me. :)

But maybe a National Park brown wouldn't be as bold as the red.

I thought you had already tried this, but looking back I don't see it; ring color same as background below the mountain / behind the text?

The ring would blend with the bottom of tbe label and standout as it arcs over the top.

The ring color and the bottom background color are very close... the rim is just a bit darker... I thought the darker rim added a little dimension but maybe it's making the rim stand out too much... So here's matching rim and bottom background. Hmmm... nice....

edit... but then it doesn't make sense to tuck the Colorado Club text under the rim... so...

edit... and now that I look at it, that's getting pretty close to the No Rim option.... It just frames the mountain view a bit... Nice. Thanks for that!

I love everything except the purple spots against the red on your $5 - I personally think they're getting lost and one doesn't really compliment the other.

That said, I know notheeeeng.

I’m using existing chips for this project - the red is a Casa $5. A full custom CPC set is still a bit in my future.

But if anyone has two racks of red THC’s that would work better here I’d be happy to add em to the mix. :)

Fair enough then! Good job.

Haha I just realized I’m in love with both of your set lineups. I guess I really enjoy your taste

Very frustrating. Been looking for 5 minutes and still cant find the penis.

It was the skinny "A" in the original $5 rendition. Harder to see now that that image is smaller...

This design is going really well. The only thing I don't like is the use of Casa $5s! :cool

How's the quality on the label printing in person?
Very solid. These are label-overs, not inlay replacement - so there's the trade-offs with that - as I'm sure you know. But ABC did great work on the unlaminated over-label. Thumbs up all around.

Of course, anyone who does a label-over has thoughts, "maybe I should do a full inlay replacement eventually...". Yah, I'm getting that. But for now I'm very, very happy with the set as it stands.

Thanks. They look great. I love the $5
