Degen in Dallas III: Degen Does Dallas- August 2nd to 6th , 2023 (5 Viewers)

How many drugs dung in a sip?
Good question, I will have to call a friend to get the exact measurements!
From the website -
Our Sheep Dung Smoked Reserve is a truly unique smoked malt. Here we apply an old traditional Icelandic smoking style using sheep dung to smoke the barley.

@CraigT78 Lets make a deal
If you bust someone out - they have to take good sip
If you bust out - you have to take a good sip

I will sponsor the bottle

Wednesday warmup attendees, any interest in a post dinner turbo tournament, somewhere in the $60 range? Thinking either
1) short deck
Or
2) NLHE bounty-only progressive bounty

Both sound fun to me at least. I think we have three tables planned, so if we get two tables interest I can set that up, otherwise would be easiest to just be cash cash cash
No. Not at all. STRAIGHT CASH HOMIE.

You can’t warm up a meetup with a tournament. It’s like taking a plane and waiting until you get into the air to turn the engines on.

This is like turning up the thermostat to 85 degree, dimming the lights, and playing soft music while covering everyone in a heavy blanket.

PS I was the guy who had 2 liters of Coke and a handle of rum delivered mid game last year because people weren’t drinking fast enough (MATT, CRAIG, ME) so I might be the statistical outlier here.

I, uh, had to have Jonesy drive my minivan home because I did indeed drink fast enough.

I think there is a flaw in this analogy somewhere but I can’t quit put my finger on it, but I love the mental visual it creates!

I think I figured it out!

I guess it's never too early to get this started. @CraigT78 if you want to link this post in the OP for easy access, feel free. Feel free to post or PM your arrival information if you wish to be added. This is helpful for those looking to chop rides from the airport. If interested, I can add the hotel you are booked at as well if that is something you all are interested in.

If you're a local and not flying in, let me know and I'll throw a little N/A for ya.

DAL, August 2 at 4:15pm. Hoping for a ride from @RowlettTexasChipGuy with @MatB this time so I can get some of his money sooner.

Plan your flight around his and I will grab both of you, unless like last year your flight gets in way early and we leave @MatB at the airport again, but with no early game @CraigT78 , we should be good

Be careful. You Say flips 3 times and Goldy will appear.

All monies are on the table.
NitB is dead.

You should know as well as I do, people will show up to my house and I can't turn a guest away ;)

Some of you may know that I once played, and beat poker professional Gabe Kaplan.

chatGPT tells it better.

Craig was a relative unknown in the high stakes poker world, but he had been honing his skills for years, and he knew he had what it takes to compete with the best.

One day, he found himself sitting across from the legendary Gabe Kaplan, a seasoned pro with a reputation for being nearly unbeatable.
Craig knew he had to play his cards right, so he watched Kaplan's every move, analyzing his patterns and strategies. Slowly but surely, Craig began to chip away at Kaplan's stack, winning hand after hand.

Kaplan was clearly frustrated by Craig's persistence, but he refused to back down. The two players battled it out for hours, the tension mounting with each passing minute.
In the end, it was Craig who emerged victorious, winning the biggest pot of the night with a stunning bluff that left Kaplan reeling.

As the other players at the table looked on in disbelief, Craig calmly collected his chips and walked away, a newfound respect for his abilities now firmly established among his peers.

Pics or it didn’t happen.

I don’t think even ChatGTP could read that with a straight face!

I asked for the story of when @MatB beat @Goldfish

I was not disappointed.

Degen Poker Showdown:

It was a warm summer night in Dallas and the Degen, a local dive bar known for its high-stakes poker games, was buzzing with excitement. Goldy, a regular at the poker table, had been on a hot streak all night, raking in pot after pot and accumulating a sizable stack of chips.

But then @MatB walked in. A newcomer to the table, he seemed unassuming at first, but @Goldfish quickly realized that he was a formidable opponent. MatB played every hand with precision, always seeming to know exactly when to bet big and when to fold.

As the night wore on, Goldy's stack began to dwindle. He tried everything he could to outmaneuver MatB, but nothing seemed to work. Finally, on the last hand of the night, Goldy went all-in with his remaining chips.

MatB smirked and called the bet, revealing a full house that beat Goldy's two pair. Goldy was devastated as he watched MatB scoop up his entire stack of chips, including all of his hard-earned cash.

With a nod and a wink, MatB left the Degen, his pockets bulging with Goldy's money. Goldy slumped back in his chair, defeated but determined to come back stronger next time.

The untold rematch is ready, will post after DiD3

I am looking forward to “hanging” with @MatB at the poker table at DiD3 ……. I would say looking forward to “playing” with @MatB but he would actually have to play a hand for that to make sense.
