this isnt a thread to trash any manufacturer, but im curious what defects, if any you have seen or experienced with your sets? i own and play with virtually every brand and have no favorites. it goes without saying that cards dont last forever... frequency of play, how you store your stock, what table you play on, etc. it all plays a role ; )
that being said:
Modiano: i've chipped two cards that have seen less than 200 hands. standard set. i got replacement cards from a local store about a year ago but got home and found out they were slightly bigger. yes, its a bridge set and the size difference is very minor but enough to see and feel when holding the deck.
A-Plus: fading PIP on most of the blacks. to be fair, ive owned this set for nearly 10 years. fading doesnt bother me, but its clearly there and they havent seen a ton of action.
