This is a dealer button interest thread / suggestion box based on the thread started by @kk405 here. The general idea is to create dealer buttons that have never been made before, or were made years ago, or are popular enough that they just needed to be run again. With an emphasis toward basing them on old casinos or epic chip sets (with the owner's permission, obviously). I have coined the term "PCFDBGB" to stand for "Poker Chip Forum Dealer Button Group Buy." Unless demand drops off, the plan is to run one of these every three months, hence the "Q3" prefix. The Q2 dealer button group buy can be found here.

THIS THREAD IS TO DETERMINE WHICH DEALER BUTTON DESIGNS WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE Q3PCFDBGB.

The original thread has a number of great ideas, but we have had such a great response from the first two group buys that I think most of the buttons that will be in the Q3 group buy are already determined. But I am always up for new ideas and suggestions, such as the ALL IN, BOMB POT and BOUNTY items from the Q2 group buy.

If you are serious about getting a dealer button made with one of your design ideas, I ask that you please do some of the legwork on your own. Try to locate where the original artwork exists, and try to obtain permission to use this artwork. For example:
  • If you want to reproduce a dealer button that already exists (i.e. you have seen pictures of it), you need to locate either the person who originally ordered the button (preferred) or the person who designed it (or both). Most people are totally willing (even flattered) that you would want to reproduce their button, so getting permission to use their DB artwork is a formality. Once you obtain permission, you can send me a PM so I can update our list of DB options.
  • If you want to produce a dealer button that has never been produced, but is based on a specific chip set, you need to locate either the person who owns the chip set (preferred) or the person who designed it (or both). This is a slightly more difficult approval to obtain. Some people are very protective of their chip set artwork, but others are very willing to give permission to produce accessories (such as dealer buttons), as long as the artwork will not be used for chip labels. Once you obtain permission, you can send me a PM so I can update our list of DB options.
  • If you want to produce a dealer button that has never been produced, but is based on a specific casino, we have some limitations. As of April 2021, BR Pro Poker has informed me that they will no longer produce items with casino names / logos if the casino is currently in operation. They vetoed a couple of items from our list in the Q2 group buy (The Mirage and The Golden Nugget). If you have any questions about whether BR Pro Poker will produce a specific casino button, I suggest sending a PM or email to them so that you don't waste your time or money.
Please note that I am NOT a graphic designer or graphic artist, and I make no claim to be. Also, please note that I will NOT be doing the research for you. I may be doing my own research, but only if it's an idea that I have come up with personally. I am here to organize our ideas and (eventually) run the Q3 group buy.

For full disclosure, I may decide to push one of these groupings to the Q4 group buy. These are great designs, but it's already over 20 unique buttons, and I'm not sure I want to hit that number. It's a lot of work.

I like your dedication @Himewad. I would buy a couple of the PNY buttons, depending on which gets made. I have the white one with the freedom tower on it though, but would be happy with any of the others.

@Potsie1 sells the majority of these DBs pictured.

@FordPickup92 and @Nuhockey designed these buttons.
Mostly correct. I’m not sure who made the Lady Luck buttons. Maybe @mrplacey ? The Big Easy buttons were also someone else. I ran those in a group buy last fall. I’ll check on those. @Potsie1 definitely did the Riverboats, Speakeasy and Mardi Gras buttons. @FordPickup92 designed the Isle of Capri buttons, and @Nuhockey sold the Star Wars buttons. The Horseshoe buttons were sold by @Johnblue .

EDIT - I see Brie beat me to the Lady Luck.

Looking at the lineup of incredible people posting in this thread makes it a no brainer for me to offer the artwork for riverboat, Mardi gras and speakeasy at no charge. While I have a lot Im excited to be working on ceramic buttons aren't something I have any time for at the moment. I would only add that I retain all ownership of the artwork and am making it available for this specific group buy only.

When you're ready let me know and I'll send the files.

@Himewad I was looking at your media page, and all the awesome DBs in your collection... I would love to see some of these to be considered for future (anytime) GBs (if we have the artwork/permission):

A Lady Luck chip button that is white on one side and black on the other would be awesome....even cooler would be if the edge was wide enough to allow it to be rolled across the table to land on one side or the other in the "decision" of Lady Luck.....

I would also be in for a couple of horse shoe buttons if those are produced. (generic is good or HSI)

Also I would like some help from one of the designers with some Big/little blind buttons and a kill botton. I have the design I just need help bringing it from paint to actually being able to submit as a design. I am not sure if there would be interest but I am open to all of them being available....Open to sloth dealer button ideas....currently aleady have some but a reverse image (black/white negative) would be pretty cool too.

Where did the green come from in the Jack buttons?

I've always liked the Rounders DB with the bear and the star, but I've wanted one that may be a bit more authentic and used in Teddy KGB's club.
I think it would be in Russian, so a DB with a bear and "крупье" (which is croupier in Russian) would be awesome.

A group of us could use a HP (Huntington park) button. I'll reach out to @Gear to see if he has an AI file with HP logo as he made need dinner custom Fracs with it.

Just saw this thread. I’d love a jack cinci button!
Just click on the “watch” button in the group buy sub forum, and you will get a notification when a new post is made. Keep an eye out in the next couple of months for it. This is just the “suggestion box” thread.

My fellow chippers are self-interested clods that lack both appreciation for contributions to community and basic manners.

@Potsie1 Thank you.
