Deadwood, SD casinos are opening. (1 Viewer)

I’ve been waiting to find any info saying the poker rooms are open, or when.

Based on what I've read, most places are keeping poker shut for now. I get that poses more challenges.

Canterbury sent me a survey a few weeks back about possible safety measures. I am sure they are hoping to reopen when they can.

I was supposed to have been in Deadwood about a week ago so I’m kinda bummed out lately lol.

I was checking the places I usually go there. Saloon 10 says no gaming tables at all. Silverado says no poker room. Cadillac Jacks doesn’t reference their poker room, but says only 2-4 people per table game, if that’s referring to poker or not.

They gotta start somewhere. Just want to keep an eye out.

Saw this on Reddit. That’s at Cadillac Jacks.

The Silverado shut down their poker room and let go of all of their dealers indefinitely. Caddilac Jacks has 4 handed poker currently. The Lodge at Deadwood's poker room isn't currently open, but isn't shut down permanently either. I assume they will wait to see what the industry demands. Saloon 10 doesn't have any tables open right now, but their poker room probably won't open. They may have a standard blackjack or 3cp table in time.

All table games in town are 3 players max.

:(

So Silverado would have to rehire everyone before they could think about doing poker again? Sounds discouraging to me wanting to make a trip lol.

I take it you were in Deadwood and asked at these places?

Yes. Some places put their employees on furlough, and are bringing them back as needed. The Silverado also placed their Blackjack, restaurant, hotel personnel on furlough, but actually terminated/laid off their poker staff. So that would leave us to assume they aren't reopening at all.

Kinda. I sometimes work closely with the industry there, and some other gaming jurisdiction's.

Man that’s a bummer. Silverado and Saloon 10 were the main places I would play at. I appreciate the update, I haven’t been able to find much else online.

No new news as of this past weekend. Still no poker anywhere except Cadillac Jacks. I'm doing some consulting in Denver, to Council Bluffs, MN, and will be back in the area in a couple weeks.

A friends of mine had just went through Deadwood this last week and said he had overheard poker was opening up on the 4th or after the 4th. He's not a poker player though so I don't really trust he was paying attention to what he heard lol. Curious if you've talked to anyone from the area lately?

Silverado won't have poker any longer. The Lodge closed their poker room for good today. Cadillac Jacks is now the only place that offers poker in Deadwood.
That’s crazy. Do you know anything about Saloon 10? Thanks for the update.

Poker in deadwood now
Saloon 10
Silverado opened a couple of weeks ago
Cadillac Jack's is open.
I never go to the lodge.
I am in Deadwood every 3 or 4 weeka
I used to go every year during the State tournament. Have the tables been filling up like they used to?

I play at #10 the 1/2 table is always on a wait list after 4p.
So I haven’t been there early enough in the week besides Thursdays to hit up the dealers choice game, but do the Stud and Omaha nights run consistently too? If you play those ever.

This is $2-10 spread limit yeah? Played it when i was there in the fall, very different feel than a NL game. Going back next week and love Saloon 10 except the poker game lol.

Lol it can be different, but it’s so fun there. Do you play mix? On Thursday’s they play $2-10 Dealers Choice with 10 different games to choose from.

Absolutely. May try to hop in for a bit next Thursday, I'll be in town again for the weekend with the wife. Hopefully can drop her off at the three card table behind me!! Gotta love $3/5 table games in Deadwood, too!
