I host a weekly game and the unofficial rule is for the person behind the dealer to cut. Our game consists of regulars so we all know each other well. I usually ask the player to my right if he wants to cut and that person usually declines. Then I will shuffle and cut my deal all night. Some players will cut and some will allow the dealer to cut his own deal. In my game, no one really cares about who cuts.
I also play in another weekly game where the host deals all night and the button will cut every deal.
