Custom Velveteen Topper (1 Viewer)

Thinking of ordering a custom fit velveteen table cover. I'd need to put some padding under it. Anyone have experience with a Velveteen cover or this one in particular:

That cloth looks like a thin fuzzy felt. Not sure how it feels, maybe try to get a sample first.
Also, in some photos, it doesn’t look all that tight, I would worry about it bunching up during play.
There are well liked toppers out there that would likely work better. The nylon or polyester covered neoprene ones are nice, think oversized mouse pad. Cards slide easily, cleanup well, and they don’t bunch up.

The first playing surface was like velveteen. I didn't like it and soon replaced it with speedcloth. Velveteen has a grain that would run lengthwise on your table. Cards slide extremely well in only one direction. The grain was also noticeable when sliding stacks of chips. Get a sample of the fabric before making a decision.

Thanks. Not sure if I want neoprene. I kinda like the old school look of one that wraps over the edge.

I have a shitty felt one now. It doesn't bunch up too bad, but it pills which I can't stand. Maybe velveteen isn't the right material though...
