I made a custom topper for my Barrington poker using foam and speed cloth however it was cut too short. I was thinking of using some type of trim to cover the edge of the table so it looks nicer. Any suggestions on doing this? I placed some foam for now where It was cut short.

Measure twice - cut once.

Looks like perhaps you measured once. I think that starting over (cut twice) may be your best option, unless you are willing to live with the mistake.

Any attempt to cover the mistake may end up looking like an attempt to cover over a mistake.

Yeah, I'd agree with the others. Suck it up, re-do the whole top and chalk it up as a learning experience. Sure, you could bodge it, but it's going to look like a bodge.

Looking a bit closer, it seems that the distance between rails may be wider in some places than others (unless you cut the foam crooked). Trying to cut the foam to fit in between the rails might be kind of difficult if it is not symmetrical. You may need to remove the rail and fit the foam beneath it, then re-attach the rail. Not sure how effective this will be on what looks like a folding table.

I tried to remove one of the rails and I was able to remove it. I am going to remove them all and then place a new speed cloth down and staple it down keeping the foam in the center of the table and re-attach the rails. It will not be able to fold up but that's fine.

So I've got some left over speed cloth and foam from a recent Barrington refurb. I was thinking of doing something similar to create like a mini topper / heads-up topper / something to use the left overs. I was about to post a similar thread asking for suggestions or help, but this popped up in the suggested threads.

Did you attach the cloth to the foam in anyway? Did you use adhesive?

What kind of foam did you use?

It looks like the cloth wraps around the edge and attaches to the underside, correct?

Is it just the cloth on top of the foam? Any other materials used?

Does the topper roll up with the cloth attached?

Any info or tips and tricks would be great to hear.

@TunnelMoney I purchased both the speed cloth and the padding from casino supply (8Ft). The speed cloth was wrapped around the edges of the padding when I did this and I just used some packaging tape and stretched the speed cloth so the cloth was flat on the front side of it. I had to cut both the padding and the speed cloth as well. I am sure you can also use glue but I felt like using tape, I was able to pull the cloth so it was tight on the backside of the padding.
