Hi all,

As I await the final inlay design of my custom CPC set, I am starting to think about constructing my used solid THC tourney set.
Here are the colors/quantities I have collected so far, and I think I'm liking the lineup overall.

I need some help/suggestions for which color each denom should be. Obviously I am not adhering to any established color scheme, but rather doing my own thing (I will make sure the denom on the inlay is printed very clearly and dominantly)

The orange really pops after cleaning and oiling (half of these are oiled for comparison), and the purples really get much darker when oiled (unfortunately my oil and oiled purples are not at my location for comparison pics)

The only thing to note is the total quantity of each color that I managed to collect, which will effect the color choices depending on the set I want to build. Ideally I will not purchase any more chips for this set if I don't have to (I'm going for kind of a budget-friendly set)

200x Orange
190x White
80x Blue
200x Purple
79x Yellow

I will be building a 12/12/5/6/x set so the orange, white, and purple are the only options for T25 and T100 so far.

STT:
120x T25
120x T100
50x T500
75x T1000
35x T5000

14-player two table tourney (I know this one is a little odd for sure, but I want to stick to 12/12/5/6 and only have a total of maximum 14 potential players in my games):
170x T25
170x T100
70x T500
160x T1000
30x T5000

Here are possible 10k starting stack pics (with some 5ks on top for the full idea of color)

I REALLY love the yellows, so having it be the 5k chip, and thus not having many on the table, would be sad :(

I'm trying to decide first on the color progression that I like the most, regardless of my quantity so far, and then decide if I am building a STT or MTT set. I can always use a different set on the rare occasion that I will have more than 10 people playing at my game. Again, I would like to avoid looking for and buying for chips if I can avoid it (unless someone here is looking to sell :D )

My advice: get 40x more Orange, 10x more White, 20x more Blue (and 1 more Yellow, hate barrels that aren't full ;) )

200x Purple (T25) - Cali colour
200x White (T100) - Cali colour
100x Blue (T500)
240x Orange (T1K)
80x Yellow (T5K)

For T10K, this gives you 16 starting stacks (2 tables of 8) of 12/12/5/6 or 24 starting stacks (3 tables of 8) of 8/8/4/7. There are enough extra T1K to colour up all the lower denoms. 40 full rebuys available with T5K.

I like the cali color 25 and 100 idea!
Given the colors you posted, for a 16 player tournament at strictly 12/12/5/6:

192x T25 (purple) ~ even 200
192x T100 (white) ~ even 200
80x T500 (blue)
160x T1000 (orange): 96 for starting stacks, 24 for color ups, 40 for up to 8 rebuys using 5x T1000 and 1x T5000
60x T5000 (yellow): 8 for 8 rebuys as mentioned above, 32 for maximum addons, and 20 for more rebuys, bonuses, etc..

Total is a clean 700 chips, I like this little tweak! I hope I did this right!

With this breakdown, I would only actually need to acquire 10 more white chips (or even just 2 if I don't mind uneven racks)

So far this is my favorite, and a great use of the chips I have so far without a lot of waste. The only downside is that there will be the fewest amount of yellow chips in play, which are my favorite

Update! Scored some new colors, and I am liking what I've collected so far.
Thoughts on this progression of colors?

Purple T25
Yellow/Canary T100
Sherbet Green T500
Hot Pink T1K
(day?) Blue T5K

Really cool colors! I might consider switching the order of purple and yellow so there's more contrast between the denoms. I have a barrel of the purple and yellow that are going up for sale soon if you want em.
