So this wont be where I go step by step with details. This is just the pictorial step by step build in the Man Cave....

Step 1 the base - 3 Pieces.

Step 2 - Cork covered main table face. It isnt shown but there is also a closed cell 1/16 layer of foam to cover the cork.

Step 3 - The Installation of all the pyramid panels. I used a different method to get the same result. I hated the green stuff commercially available so I improvised! (y)

Step 4 - Installing the layout.

Step 5 - Positioning section "A". The build as you guessed is in 6 major pieces so as to be built and taken down should the wife want divorce when she tallies the cost of this project... :whistling:

Step 6 - Installing the Dealer rail and opposing mirror rail. Mirror to come this week with luck...

Step 7 - Installing section "B"

Step 8 - Making small adjustments and tightening everything into place. Step 9 was sitting down and taking pics of the completed table to post here. :D So here are some more. my chips specifically for this table aren't here yet and the ceramic chips I'm placing an order for with OWPS for our side game "Money Shots", our take on Fire bets (yes, my group are fairly low-brow) will be posted this week for anybody wishing to grab one or two... :whistling:

DAMN. You taking orders yet? ;)

NOPE! This project took honestly about 70% of any spare time I had, 100% of my garage and 1000% of the Wife's patience  . It will be nice to be able to park my truck back in the garage and finally get caught up on some the designing I've been promising certain people....*achem* @AK Chip

Steve, I've come back to this thread like four times in the 40 minutes since you posted. Really stunning work - big congrats on the project.

Did you do all the design yourself or did you have any plans to work off of or what? Can't imagine the time and effort in the planning stages.

No plans....I couldn't find any:LOL: . Believe me I tried. Just literally months and months of planning. This was something I've had in my head for a very long time now. The biggest obstacle was the pyramid panels. I absolutely hated that I wuld have to buy those frigging 4' panels available. And the cost was prohibitive. so I managed to source some pyramid panels of high density foam used for acoustical sound proofing. I ordered some and bought some rubber paint. BAM! They stiffened right up and seemed to be a great fit...at a fraction of the cost. Just for shit and giggles I sealed the rubberized foam with sprayed on polyurethane. the painting and spraying probably killed half of my brain cells and kept me high for a week. So I figure I'm probably about as savvy as Winnie the Pooh at this point....Oh Bother...

On a side note the pyramids are identical to the size and depth of the casino panels.

I've seen a few builds or examples of craps tables on the forum. Does the owner of the table typically play 'house'? Or do you guys just play for fun?

We will be playing a tournament. The dealer for the first while will be myself or my good buddy who is also a craps junkie. But it will be on a buy-in basis for X chips over X revolutions. Chip leader wins and depending on players have 1 or 2 places paid. We have debated on calculating a "house" player in to the game but are uncertain what a fair breakdown would be. So as it stands we will in time draw for dealer and he/she will be paid X from the pot.

Great work, Steve! It looks amazing and I bet it will be a dream to play on.

One thing on tournaments; we had to lower the max bet for the last X minutes. Otherwise, people go crazy on boxcars when they're behind.

That's funny because that is something we were talking about and kind of liked. You're never really out of the game. The chip leader can't sit back. But we'll definitely heed your advice. I'm sure the rules will evolve with time.

Great looking table, Steve. Hard work shows and paid off bigtime. Good luck with it!

Update! Finally got around to logging some time behind the computer to put an idea to the test. I've been using some ceramic plaques from OWPS for table info. But since I started the table I knew that wasn't what my heart truly wanted.

So I've finally been able to get what I wanted. Some video displays! My camera doesn't pick the colors up well but you get the idea....
