CPCs and heat (1 Viewer)

I know from experience that CPC chips left in a vehicle in the sun are going to warp really badly, but if these are packed away out of sight on a trailer in a warm climate (traveling) will they warp? Planning to move out West this year and I don’t know whether to bring my CPCs with me in an already tightly packed car or just ship ‘em.

Keep em in racks, maybe pack em in a big styrofoam cooler or something to limit the high temp, I know I've had sample warp in shipping where they probably reach >120deg sitting in usps vehicles in the sun.

I would put them in chip boxes if possible and wouldn't worry too much about the heat. At least in boxes there will not be that much pressure applied to the chips while in transit, so that would hopefully keep any warping at bay.
